Running socks by SmartWool
Lightweight sock with extra cushioning that fits perfectly throughout your most aggressive runs. 1" x 1" rib welt top with nylon holds the sock up and in place to assure a comfortable, snug fit. The arch brace is knit with nylon for increased support and comfort, while the sole's light-density padding cushions against shock, blisters and abrasions.
"I would say these are similar to my Ultimax Ironman socks in fit and feel, except I like the tops better on the Smartwools. They don't, however, have as much padding in the sole of the sock. I liked the fact that they didn't seem to shrink after a couple of washings (in fact, they felt better). They also kept my feet fairly warm and comfortable in snowy conditions."
"I was not totally satisfied with the socks, but I must add that I am very fussy about my socks ¿ more than anything else when I'm running. I felt they were too silky-feeling (even though they are not) and, as I was running, I had the sensation that they were sliding down in the back of my heel. My feet were too hot, also. I'd recommend them to non-runners to wear doing errands, etc."

"The wool breathes and the socks fit well. They washed well and are soft to the touch. I want more."
"I used them for speed workouts mainly to test them out, since I knew I was going to wear them in 10K races. I also wore them for one 12-mile run. I liked them better than the Thorlos I normally wear, because the Thorlo socks are rough where there is extra padding."
