i just got this shoe its realy comfortable & this one actually feels true to size & width my adistar control 4's i had to buy in a 14 us this one i got in a us 13 strange thing is pull out the left shoes insole & there is a cavity for a sensor of some type i cant find it & its not the polar stride sensor as its too big and is designed for the fusion adidas has plans but no one knows because its not in the specs of the shoe one thing is the nike +sensor fits side ways the cavity is 3cm width 3cm Length 1 cm high this is a comfortable shoe nice smooth transition greatest arch support ive had in a long while & there is another hot colour its o the adidas website but its only exclusive to the athletes foot because of corporate rubbish this shoe costs here Aus $220.00 crazy huh

Needed a shoe to work with my orthotics. Tried these and was pleasantly surprised. Great cushioning, excellent support working well with the orthotics, very comfortable. As far as duraility have 100 miles on hard roads with them and show a little wear in front where I usually wear my shoes out, so no complait hear. Hope the next version is as good if not better.

Great shoe as far as fit and cushioning. the best feeling shoes I have ever had, but both rear cushion pads blew out after 6 months. If they can make the cushion last I would give the 5+ stars.

I think that I've found a great shoe(180 lbs/5'8" tall). I have high arches, and I still haven't found a good Cushion shoe that helps me. A friend recommended these. I put some RRS Arch Runner inserts in, and they're great!

Addendum to my original review...these are extremely comfortable shoes with great support while providing excellent cushioning and responsiveness. However the cushioning in the right shoe completely bottomed out after 116 miles...durablity is terrible. Perhaps it's due to my size (190-195lbs) though I'd expect a Stability+ shoe to last longer than 116 miles, especially such an expensive one and when most of the mileage was on a treadmill.

Great shoe for me (190lbs./20mpw). Better fitting than previous models. I run primarily on a treadmill. After 6 weeks I ran my first race and noticed immediately I was bottoming-out. Back on the treadmill they were good for another few weeks but they're wasted (2 months!). Great functional shoe, I'll buy another pair, but the cushioning is not that durable making them low by a bang for the buck measurement. RRS categorizes these as Stability Plus which by construction (and price) is true but by cushioning durability is probably inaccurate.

I'm switching from adistar 3 (red and silver model) to 5 now, they are VERY comfortable, has assisted feeling of striding from heel to toe. It is VERY expensive, so I couldn't affor to get 2 pairs like I always do. Adistar 4 was a disaster, so I'm happy with what they did with 5. I'm 175 lbs, runs 4,5 D/W, race upto 1/2 marathon.

Wrote an earlier 5 star review. Have trained in them for one and a half months. Have developed heel pain that I never experienced before. Am switching shoes. I am really disappointed; I love how they look and feel but I can't run in them anymore

I really loved the Control 4. This shoe did not fit me as snug. The toe box seemed larger. It requires me to go to a thicker sock which may be why it seems more bulky. I have been happy with the performance and have logged over 200+ miles with no problems. I do however slip back into my 4's for racing events....I am an average 5'10" 180lb runner, 25-30 miles per week.

I am 5' 7", 160 pounds with a medium arch. I run primarily on the treadmill with 2 to 3 races each month. I have used Asics 2100 series for the past few years to try Adidas. I have logged about 30 miles on these so far and they feel very good. They have good support and are very comfortable.

After not having much luck with other stability + shoes I decided to give adidas a try after a 10 year hiatus. I am happy to say these are the most comfortable trainers I have ever had. They give support in the right places and are not heavy. They hold up well for a session of sprints and long slow distance.

Only have 40 miles on these so far so I can't speak for it's durability just yet, but for a Stability + shoe I couldn't be happier. So much cushioning especially in the forefoot and yet so much response and flexibility. I exchanged a pair of Kayano 14s for these and will likely be getting another pair soon before they change the model. Never even considered Adidas before and I've truly been missing out!

Excellent! I haven't owned Addidas for 15+ years, but I've been going through a series of injuries in stability shoes so I decided to try this relatively flexible stability+/motion control shoe. I've run in the 5's for a month and am very happy. I'm 6', 190, with medium arches.

I read the reviews by others, and bought a air on faith. I am 50 years old, and weigh 220 pounds. I need a shoe to match well with my age and frame These are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever run in. Their stability helps me run more aggressively, yet feel fewer aches and pains for having done so. I am buying two more pair to keep for the future!

i've been running in the Asics gel kayano 13's i purchased some 14's and these adistar 5 shoes to rotate. these are not as stable as the 14's i sent them back and got some more 14's. i am 5'10" and weigh 195. i have a normal arch and prefer stability+

Although I have only logged three runs in these shoes, I think they are the best shoe Adidas has produced. They are very comfortable and the sole is not too mushy like, say Sauconys or other Adidas models. Contrary to generally accepted fitting guidance, I have high arches yet I enjoy wearing these shoes. They are now on my shortlist of favorite shoes. I average about 25 miles a week in running.

AMAZING shoe, I have taken advantage of the VIP program and tried every Stability Shoe offered, and then some. This shoe is by far and away the most comfortable and stable shoe.
