I wore them for a 3 mile walk and knew immediately that there were no problems, which I LOVE in a shoe. I then work them a week later for a 15 mile walk ... no issues. Great shoes, the only reason I did not give a 5-star is because they are missing the little loop on the back and I love that feature in a shoe to help me pull them on, other than that ... love them and will more than likely purchase more. Comments about Womens adidas adiSTAR Ride Running Shoe: I loved the AdiStar Cushion and I was told the Ride is the "upgraded" replacement. Like another reviewer wrote, the Ride is negatively different. The toebox is narrower so my last two toes rub on the shoe. The sole is hard and stiffer and I had to work for every step. I hated my first run in them and will be turning them in. Comments about Womens adidas adiSTAR Ride Running Shoe: I'm just getting starting with training for a marathon, and at first I loved the cushion this shoe provided. It was great on the treadmill too. But as soon as I got on the road, I had terrible shin splints! This shoe has tons of cushion but vertually no support. Comments about Womens adidas adiSTAR Ride Running Shoe: First, to the reviewer below me: Tracy, you might want to have someone look at your running form. shin splints generally happen when you overstride. its easy to fix, good luck on your marathon! Comments about Womens adidas adiSTAR Ride Running Shoe: I used these shoe's predecessor, adiStar Cushion 6, and they wer great. I ordered this new model and was very nervous to see how they would work out. These shoes have worked out great for me so far! I personally did not have to order a half size up. I used these shoes a whole Cross Country season, running on a track, roads, and grass, and they gave me no trouble. I was injury free! A great pair of shoes that fit awesome and felt so comfortable. Comments about Womens adidas adiSTAR Ride Running Shoe: I should have given my profile in my previous review to aid my fellow runners in their shoe comparisons. 5'4", 116 lbs.,marathoner, chronic metatarsalgia in left foot, midfoot striker(which helps relieve my hamstring origin pain). Though a lightweight runner, I like a Neutral Plus shoe for the extra cushioning it brings to hard-surface running, which also helps to ease the butt and hip discomfort. Another negative of the Ride, for my needs, is that it is less flexible. Is it my imagination, or are many shoe manufacturers sneaking dollops of motion control features into neutral shoes? Let a neutral shoe be truly neutral, please. Comments about Womens adidas adiSTAR Ride Running Shoe: I would give the Ride's predecessor, the Cushion, 10 stars. But the Ride feels different, the toebox is narrower, the sole harder, and the inflexible rubber strip stitched across the toe area to reinforce the mesh can be felt through the shoe, causing big-toe blisters after 7-8 miles.A disappointment. Comments about Womens adidas adiSTAR Ride Running Shoe: The shoes are ok. I had the Supernova 10 prior to these and I loved them, but this new shoe rubs on my heel after 10 miles... I like the shoe otherwise. Comments about Womens adidas adiSTAR Ride Running Shoe: I was under the impression this shoe was similar to adistar cushion, it is not. It is an okay shoe, but if you are looking for the cushion provided by adistar cushion this does not have it. Comments about Womens adidas adiSTAR Ride Running Shoe: This is a great shoe! It has plenty of cushioning and isn't tight in the toe box. The only drawback is the tongue is shorter than previous models....it doesn't necessarily affect the way the shoe feels, but is a bit aggrevating when you go to put the shoe on. Comments about Womens adidas adiSTAR Ride Running Shoe: To tell you the truth folks, I was a little turned off by the cheesy name - but let me say THESE SHOES ARE GREAT!! They provide superior comfort and stability! And I have to admit - they do make me feel like a shooting star! Comments about Womens adidas adiSTAR Ride Running Shoe: Mmmmmmmmmmm! Tons of cushioning. Enough stability. Super comfortable upper. Great heel fit. Lovely toe-off. These make me want to run and run and run...
