      I use the XT in extreme conditions during a 12km race in Brazilian rainforest. That circuit included mud, peebles, moderate rock climbing and crossing rivers. During the event, the adidas XT 3 fit perfectly, have an excellent traction and its upper mesh makes the water go out quickly. Certainly I will wear it in offroad marathons.

        I LOVE these shoes! I run 30-40mpw on rugged trails in them. They've help up very well for >400 miles. They are light and comfortable. I often forget I'm wearing them. They shed mud quickly, unlike many other shoes I've tried. They also drain quickly. I feel like I have excellent traction and response on the trails in these shoes. The only thing I don't like are the shoelaces -- they always seem to loosen/untie.

          This is one of the most comfortable pair of running shoes I have ever owned. I love running trails and was looking for something more responsive than the Brooks Cascadia. These fit the bill. They have great traction in all conditions, dirt, gravel, mud, bare rock, and snow. I have put over 500 miles on these and they have held up really well. I've used them in trail races from 5k to half marathon and they have performed flawlessly. I feel like I could run all day in them.

            The grip is so good you never have to worry about slipping on hard surfaces. Down hill running is a pleasure because the traction is so good

              Use them for mountain races. Very good hold of the middle-foot. Space enough for the toes and very good grip. Lightweight! Low-cut shoe with very good flex.
