You might wonder if a bunch of people are drinking Adidas Kool-aid on these. No sir. After running a bunch of miles in some Under Armour running shoes I experienced a ton of soreness in the back of my knee/hamstring area and hip joint. The fine folks at RR scanned my steps and said I should upgrade to the Supernova's. BAM! The soreness is only now from running more than usual thanks to how well these fit my stride. They are decently light and breathe extremely well. The traction is so far great, whether it's a paved road or some gravel paths. Not to mention they aren't all neon'ed out like most running shoes. The look of them are very sleek and professional. Adidas, I'm glad we're back together again. I've missed you.

The most comfortable pair of running shoes I've had in at least 10 years. Took 2nd in my 5K age group literally right out of the box for my 1st run in them. I wouldn't generally recommend that but they are that comfortable.

Got these to train for a marathon this year. Better on my toes but not much cushioning in the forefoot. I like the shoes but the first set started breaking down after 120 miles (right shoes started popping), the second pair has 150 miles on them now and the left shoe is starting the same thing. They'll be lucky to get 200 miles on them, but I did just order a third set for one more shot. Think I'm ready to try a different model next though.

I am a forefoot runner who uses nuetral trainers. This lightweight shoe feels great. The fit was immediately correct; I didn't need to wait for a breakin period. I could use this one for speed training, repeats, hills and fartlek as well as regular tempo runs.

I have been a die hard Supernova Cushion to Glide buyer over the years. Some versions have been better than others and I skipped a generation or two at times. It is a great cushioned, comfortable light-weight trainer...but the price just seems to keep going up.I used to be able to get a version (maybe last year's model) for around $80. Now there is no option under [$] on the Internet unless you are a size 19. Not sure what Adidas is thinking, but it is enough of a difference to make me look at other brands and give them a try. If there is a economist (or Adidas marketer out there, i think there is some lesson in price elasticity in the above.

I have used the Supernova 2 and 3 thinking I would just stick with the 3. I am so happy I upgraded to the Glide 4; this is by far the best running shoe ever! It is comfortable but sturdy and they truly glide! I just finished the Dallas Rock and Roll 1/2 marathon in my personal best of 1 h 39 m 54 s. My usual time in this race is 1 h 47 m and change!!! These shoes rock!!!

Adidas lost their way with the previous Glides and Solution. This is a great update. Durable, light, fast. Has a nice transition that promotes midfoot landing.

I turned to the Glide 4 to be my long run training shoe for Boston. I love the cushioning, lightweight feel and durability of the shoe. My intention was to rotate it in with other shoes just a couple of times a week, but I find myself wearing it for 4 of my 6 weekly runs. No doubt, Runner's World will pick this shoe as the most improved shoe for 2012.
