Comments about Mens ASICS;GEL-Foundation 7 Running Shoe:

For the money, one of the best out there. Not the most stable MC shoe out but for those that find some MC shoes too stiff and firm, try this one. Very flexible and soft for an MC shoe

Comments about Mens ASICS;GEL-Foundation 7 Running Shoe:

I am a 130 lb male with a flat foot. I use orthotics. This is a great walking shoe and a very good running shoe. For running, I prefer a stiffer shoe such as the Brooks Beast.

Comments about Mens ASICS;GEL-Foundation 7 Running Shoe:

I suspect this shoe is perfect for some. HOWEVER, I am a pronator with high arches (rare?)and an orthotic. I was in the Kayono VII (sp) which were perfect, shoe dog recommended these instead. After three runs my knee is aching severely and my hip is killing me.... might not be the shoe for me.

Comments about Mens ASICS;GEL-Foundation 7 Running Shoe:

I would say this is a perfect shoe for lighter weight over pronators. Feels lighter than it's 13 ounces when running, is flexable but still does the job of correcting overpronation.Definatly does not fit the sterotype MC shoe reputation of feeling heavy and brick-like. Asics, great job.

Comments about Mens ASICS;GEL-Foundation 7 Running Shoe:

This is still a great shoe. However, for me the new wider midfoot and toebox have significantly changed the fit. It is uncomfortably loose during short runs. Also, my foot slips forward when runnning downhill.
A great MC shoe, but expect a loose fit compared to the Foundation 6

Comments about Mens ASICS;GEL-Foundation 7 Running Shoe:

I really like the improvements on the 7. I was a little skeptical when I first saw and wore the shoes because it didn't fit the bulkiness and weight of a typical MC shoe. It's also felt a bit roomy up front, so I went a half size smaller. The shoe fit like a glove. After my first run, I definitely noticed an improvement on weight and breathablilty. It's a good balance of support and weight distrbution. I would rate the Foundation7 five stars but the insoles were pretty economical in quality. Asics should just not include the insoles in their shoes if they consitantly provide them in such a low quality.
