I switched from Kayano since it was too narrow. I feel preferectly comfortable with new Nimbus 9. I actaually got another pair for my husband on Nimbus 9 for Men too. We are Asics family.

I loved the Nimbus 7, went to another shoe after then decided to come back to the Nimbus. That was a mistake, after running less than a mile my feet were killing me and I could feel blisters on the bottom of both my feet. Now its back to shoe shopping.

I have a medium arch, very slight outward pronation and I love these shoes. The cushioning is superior. I feel like I'm running on air.

I'm an efficient runner with normal to high arches who overpronates slightly when I walk but not really when I run (I cannot wear stability shoes for distances over 3-4 miles without them causing hip or knee pain.) I was having problems finding a good shoe that didn't cause me blisters or joint problems yet gave enough support during my recent marathon training long runs. I went through 4 different pairs of shoes in 2-3 months. I finally bought these shoes and I love them. I got them 3 weeks before the marathon and used them for the race - great shoe! They are lightweight yet well cushioned. If you are an efficient runner with fairly "normal" everything and you need a wider toe box then you will love these shoes.

I've been a GT-2000 series wearer for years. I "upgraded" to the Nimbus recently and am totally disappointed in this shoe. There's little cushioning and I've developed huge blisters under the front ball of both feet! For $100+ this shoe is a huge waste of money. I'm going back to the 2000 series.

Couldn't wear them for a run longer then 5 miles without issues. I loved the 8's but HATE the 9s. The ball of my foot was getting blisters (toe box is wider) and the cushioning is now where near the 8s. Once my knees starting bothering me (never had this issue) they went back to RRS and I got another pair of kinseis. Don't like the price on them but other then the nimbus 8 they've worked the best for me. If you loved the 8's you probably won't love the 9s.

This shoe feels perfect. I have been a Nimbus wearer through five colors. No breaking in necessary. Took me to my best time ever in the NYC triathlon!

I love this shoe. I have worn the Gel Nimbus for the past couple of years.
However, the advice to order a half size up did not work in my favor. My previous Gel Nimbus shoes were all 9's (which is what size I normally wear). The 9 1/2's I ordered have caused me foot and calf pain, because they are just too big.

Nimbus 9 is a big improvement over 8. I like almost everything about this shoe. My only complaint is that my usual size 8 is bigger than previous models. If I knew, I would buy 7.5.

I too am experiencing blistering near the ball of my foot on one side. I think perhaps it's the stitching on one of the sides. Going to return & try another pair as they are so comfortable and feel wonderful but I can't keep running if after only 3 times they are giving me blisters. I've been wearing the same shoe in older models...never had blisters

I have high arches and have had heel problems in the past -- this shoe is a dream. I had been using the GT2110 and all the previous iterations of that shoe, the Nimbus put that shoe to shame. No complaints -- they are comfortable and durable. Did need to go up 1/2 as RRS recommends.

I absolutely love this shoe! Due to hallux rigidus/bunion on my right foot, I was an extreme supinator and this shoe was the first I could run long distances in without a stress fracture on my 5th metatarsal. I had surgery to fix my right foot and am starting to wear regular shoes again. I am back in these shoes as they are the only ones that can accommodate the swelling in the ball of my foot. I feel like I really got my money's worth!

Very comfortable/cushy but having problems with blisters just behind ball of foot on bottom of foot. not the kind of thing i can run a marathon with. hopefully it will imporve because everthing else about shoe is great

These are the best shoes I've worn so far and I've tried several. I like the way Asics hugs your foot. These have great cushion. They are light weight too. I'm training for a half marathon amd wear these both on the treadmill and the road. If you are going to run a lot it is best to invest in a good shoe that will go the distance, literally.

The Nimbus 9 is a huge improvement from the 8. I no longer experience the bleeding/blisters from the seams. The shoe has great support. Felt great throughout a 14 mile run.

I've been wearing the gel nimbus for a few years now and am very disappointed in this remodel. My usual size is a bit too big and the shoe fits differently overall. I find it heavier and clunkier. It seems to come up higher on the ankle too, which isn't comfortable and gave me a blister. I love the nimbus because it's light and sleek-fitting. Time to stock up on the nimbus 8. :-(

My new Nimbus 9 just arrived and I went out today for a 9 mile run. It is a wonderful shoe! Much, much better than the nimbus 8. Not only lighter but the seams that were bothering me on the nimbus 8 , are not there anymore... great shoe.

I tried on the Nimbus 8 but did not buy. A few months later I tried on the 9, this shoe felt good on at the store. The heel is higher than I like. I must be between sizes at the 7.5 was a little too short but feel the 8 is just little to big. That said, the cushioning is good, ride feels good. Worth putting on a short list for a try.
