Love this shoe!. Its the best I have ever had for sure! I have done 5 1/2 marathons in these.. I tried the numbus 11s and I dont like them as much as the 10s. 11s are not as durable as the 10s. Bring back the 10s please and keep them. these are perfect for high arches , but you also get the benifit of a stability shoe.. perfection!!

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 10 Running Shoe:

I have been wearing the Nimbus for 5 years. Asics missed the mark with the Nimbus 9 and 10s! As for the 10s - the stitching over the toe box causes irritation. The small toebox caused me to have my first blisters from running shoes. While there is a good cushion, the change in platform causes me shin and knee problems, and I am usually a pain-free runner. I join many others in my love for the 7s!!! Bring them back, please!!!! If anyone knows where I could buy the 7s, I would buy 10 pairs!

LOVE this shoe! I was previously in the 2130, which gave me arch blisters and a variety of other leg/hip issues. Switched to the neutral Nimbus 10 and running is so much more pleasant now! I ran a whole marathon without one blister!!! In fact, I have yet to get a blister in these shoes. I did have to switch to a thinner sock, though, as thick socks in this shoe put an uncomfortable strain on the top of my foot. I am definitely getting another pair when I am due for a new pair of shoes...
I am 5'3", 130, and have pretty flat feet...

These have more cushioning than the Nimbus 9, but the outsole (tread) wears down too quickly. I've had to replace them while the uppers are still have a lot more wear in them. ASICS needs to combine the cushioning of the 10 with the durability of the 9. PLEASE!

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 10 Running Shoe:

This is by far the best shoe I have ever ran in. I love the overall fit and comfort of the shoe, including the specially padded areas for extra cushion. The actual cushioning of the bottom part of the shoe is amazing, likely due to it being a gel-cushion shoe. The asymmetrical laces also add to the confort level. It feels like the shoe was specially designed for my foot. It also has an attractive look, with the shine of the silver and really cool detailing. Overall amazing running shoe!!

Great shoe. I originally fell in love with the Nimbus 7. hated the Nimbus 8. Nimbus 9 was tolerable but felt bulky. Almost didn't get the Nimbus 10 because of all the complaints about the lacing and blisters but just ran in them and I finally found my replacement for the Nimbus 7. Love them!

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 10 Running Shoe:

A solid, comfy shoe for me right out of the box. Loved the Nimbus 9's but they were slightly too wide for me in the toebox (I have long narrow feet). These fit just perfectly and feel wonderfully plush without being too "squishy", which has caused me achilles tendon pain in the past. I don't find these shoes stiff but I'm also a big fan of the Wave Creations, which some neutral runners find stiff.

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 10 Running Shoe:

These shoes gave me bad blisters under the toenail on the second toe of both feet. I actually ended up losing one toenail. My feet measure a perfect 8.5, and I refuse to play the "go up a size for this model" guessing game. I ended up finding a pair of Nimbus 9's, which are literally perfect. In case it helps anyone deciding whether to purchase these, I am an 8.5, with medium arches and slightly narrow, low volume feet.

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 10 Running Shoe:

I bought this shoe at the beginning of my marathon training and LOVED it. It was durable, and sooo comfortable as well (especially for really long distance road running). After 500 or so miles, I followed the suggestion of RR salesgirl and went with something w/ a little bit more stability, Asics Gel-Kayano 14. The Nimbus is soooo much more comfortable than the Kayano. I am about 5'8 and 145 pounds, 18% body fat, so a lean runner.

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 10 Running Shoe:

Disappointed. I absolutely LOVED last year's model (the Navy ones) and the ones the year before even more than that (the kermit green ones). It seems that each year they have made these shoes progressively more stiff. I really wish they would stop. Too much support in the arch region, not as much cushion. After a month and many runs, they still haven't broken in well. I am returning them.

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 10 Running Shoe:

I just love this shoe! I have been running in it for about a month and I think it's the best shoe that I've ever run in. It has a great fit to my foot, and the padding is just wonderful. I don't think I've ever tried a shoe with so much padding, either. It also looks awesome, with the colors and designs. Overall, the shoe is the most comfortable shoe ever. The asymmetrical laces also add to this by fitting the shoe to your foot better.

Very cushioned and comfortable when I first tried them on, but they gave me blisters on the sides of both little toes after only one 3 mile run. I couldn't wait to get them off my feet. Definitely a more narrow toe-box than other Asics models. If you like a wider toe-box then these are not the shoes for you!

Love these shoes!!! Finally a pair that fit my foot!! I got them in mid August. I did a half marathon at the end of august, and another in october. I love the support and the fit is perfection. It took a few miles to mold it to my foot. they feel like a custom shoe. I am on my 4th month now with about 100 miles per month and I just replaced the insole with the cush runner 3 insole, because some of the new shoe cush- feeling reduced a bit.( Understanable it has been 400 miles) Well they feel perfect again with the insoles. Hope that tip helps others stretch out the life and cush of these already great shoes.

I had some hip pain over 6 miles but held up well for half-marathon distance. I like the cushioning. I'm training for a marathon and am a little anxious as to whether or not these will be the best shoes for distances over 13 miles.

I have the nimbus 9 and was really not a huge fan of it because of the huge toebox and no matter how tight i could tie them the heel would slip up and down and leave a blister on the side of my foot.... but it was a nice cushioned shoe. So after reading all the comments on the 10 about the smaller toebox i decided to try it. I LOVE IT!! Ran on them for 4 miles yesterday, not one blister! I did order the half size up if i didnt they would have been to tight..

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 10 Running Shoe:

I loved the Nimbus 9 and all the Nimbus models before it. The Nimbus 10 sucks. The stitching on the top left foot caused a huge nasty blood blister 15 miles into a long run! I have never gotten a blood blister on the top of a toe. This was not from my running socks but from the shoe as I was wearing my favorite running socks. I hope Asics goes back to their original Nimbus design as this one blows. I had to go on an internet hunt for the Nimbus 9 to buy and wear while I wait for the Nimbus 11 to come out and HOPEFULLY the Nimbus 11 won't be stitched the same way and cause blood blisters. $120.00 for a blood blister? Asics please go back to your original Nimbus or at least offer a classic version for sale.

The Nimbus 9 was the perfect shoe, the Nimbus 10 was OK. I was disappointed. The toe box is much narrower and there is all kinds of extra supports sewn over the toe box that that Nimbus 9 did not have. The extra (and totally unnecessary) support straps create pressure points. I have been wearing the Nimbus 10s and have been waiting for them to wear out so I can get something else. Bring back the NImbus 9s!!

I came very close to not buying these shoes after reading all the bad reviews. I have super high arches and the Gel-Nimbus 7, 8 and 9's that I have owned were just too good to me to not give the 10 a try. I took the advice of other reviewers and got a full size larger than my 9 series shoes. I thought for sure that they would not fit, but they do and they are great. Truthfully, they may even be better than my beloved Nimbus 9's.

great shoe extremely comfortable but i also agree that they run a bit smaller and it could have to do with the toe box

Colors are great but this version 10 is smaller than previous versions. I would recommend trying them on to make sure the size is right.

I've been running in Asics for the past 10 years and was extremely disappointed that they decided to make such big changes to the shoe. I originally only ran in Gel Kayanos but after one run in the Kayano 14s, I immediately returned them and decided to try the Nimbus 10s (the Kayanos have uncomfortable stitching on the inner ankle and over-corrected my stride). I'll echo what the others have said about the toe box in the Nimbus and the uncomfortable stitching which rubs the big toe. However, I have very narrow feet and I've found that if I wear a little bit of a thicker sock, it does not bother me. The shoe has great cushioning and is very comfortable during long runs. I'm very happy with the shoe but would only recommend it for runners with narrow feet.

I, too, owned the Nimbus 9's and loved them. I gave the Gel Kinsei's a try (bought the I & II). They felt fine, but after training for a 50K run and a subsequent marathon, I had more foot issues than ever before in my lift - blisters, corns, and achilles tendon out of alignment. I decided to give the overpriced Kinsei's a break and purchased the Nimbus 10's. I rotated them into my training with the Kinsei's and noticed an immediated difference. After a minimal breaking in period, I ran the Denver marathon in them. Not a single blister or debilitating corn, and my achilles and toes are coming back into alignment. As a side note, I purchased the same size as my Nimbus 9's, and had no fit or rubbing issues.

I too bought these shoes thinking they would be as good as my previous nimbus models. However, something in the toe box certainly changed drastically and after about two weeks of trying to break them in and get used to them I got a stress fracture in my second metatarsal and now 9 months training wasted. 8 weeks off and starting over with a different pair of shoes.

I am a marathon runner who has religiously purchased the Gel Nimbus. I purchased two new pairs of the Gel Nimbus 10 and they were awful. It feels like there's less toe room in the front and the stitching from the tongue crosses over the big toe, which makes it a hard surface to run against. Why on earth did ASICS mess what was already a great shoe up?

Finally a shoe that REALLY fits my foot! I've liked previous versions of the Nimbus, but, as with every other brand I've tried, the toe box was too wide for my AA foot. With the new Nimbus 10 I no longer have to compromise (or build up the toe box artificially). The asymetrical lacing is a godsend. If you have a narrow foot this is the shoe for you! I'll be stocking up with multiple pairs of this one.

I do not recommend this shoe to runners who loved their previous Nimbus models. I have have been loyal to the Nimbus through versions 7, 8, and 9 owning multiple pairs at each level. I couldn't wait to try out the 10, but I am completely disappointed. The fit is completely different in the toe box causing blisters and lost a toenails. I have searched all over the the Nimbus 9 in my size, but can't find any. Unfortunately, I have to switch to a different shoe.

I was getting ready to order this shoe and then I read the reviews. I have been wearing the Nimbus for 5 seasons- and have thought them to be the best shoe for me. So, I went to our local running store and tried on a pair of Nimbus 10. YUP- got the toe rub right away. Ended up with a pair of Kinetics (which aren't even on the RRS website anymore). The Kinetics are the Rolls Royce of running shoes for me. I am in heaven.

Had a pair of the 9's which I loved and tried ot re-order. Read the reviews of the 10 and decided to give them a try. Love them! The most comfortable shoe I have run in. Did all my long training runs in them and finished my first marathon with only one blister on the inside ball of left foot (not bad considering I always have blisters with other shoes on short runs). My feet felt great the whole marathon. Buying my 2nd pair now while on sale w/ discount before they decide to discontinue the shoe! Would give it a 5, but have only been running in this shoe for 6 weeks.

Totally suprised by the bad reviews on this shoe. In my opinion this shoes are great. No discomfort on the big nor blisters. Snugs my foot just perfect. I previoulsly use the 9's and also love them. I'm a efficient runner so my shoe selection are Neutral + and Nimbus 10 really makes a perfect 10. The downside to this is the price and color selection. I already have 461 miles on them and still running although I think is time to visit Dr. Shoe again for a new pair.

I love the cushioning, and I don't have a problem with the toe box. The only reason I don't give them a five is because they run shorter than the other Asics I've worn. I'm buying my next pair a full size up.

I've been training for a marathon and the toe nail on my second toe is blue because of these shoes. I've worn the previous versions of the Nimbus and never had this problem. I'm so relieved to hear it's not me and others have been dealing with toe box issues.

At first I was impressed by the cushioning of the 10s but found it difficult to get a comfortable fit because of the lacing changes and after a few long runs I found that they were causing my IT band to really flare up and was left with no choice but to shelf them.

I have been a Nimbus fan since Nimbus-6 - it is actually the only running shoe I have ever run a marathon in and they have gotten me through many! But the 10, I HATE! The toe box is so much smaller than before... the tip of my second toe feels raw and my toe nails are starting to do funky things. I am devestated and have no other choice but to find a new shoe...

I am so disappointed in this shoe. I've run in the 6's, 7's, 8's, and 9's and this shoe is terrible. I tried them on and put them right back in the box to return. The leather/fabric over the big toe is so strange and leaves me wondering who the heck test ran in this shoe and was able to withstand that annoying discomfort! I'm now on the search for my 'next' shoe which is difficult to think about considering I've loved the Nimbus for the last several years!

I have had several pairs of 9's and loved them. Now that my big toe is swollen and I had to remove part of the toenail from digging in after 1 decent run, I hate them. Losing the room in the toe box and putting that stupid piece of leather over the toe ruined the shoe. Cushioning is great, but what's that worth on its own? Please bring back the 9's! Arrrgghh. Wish I hadn't ordered two pairs. Probably can't return the 1 with the blood stains!

I gave 2 stars because these shoes ARE cute and stylish...but thats where it ends. I owned 2 pair of Nibus 7, 8 and 9's...I should have stocked up on the 9's. My toes were squished the moment I put them on, went on a short run to try them out and couldn't wait to rip them off the minute i got home. Oh well, back to Nike.

I've run in these shoes three times now, and I've got mixed feelings about them. When I ran in the original insole, they were entirely too roomy and my foot pushed forward when I walked in them. I put in the Cush Runner insole, and the fit was much better, but then I developed a blister on the second to last toe on my right foot. Unfortunate to say, I'm returning them.

Wed, July 30,2008:
I really like the cushioning, but the new lacing scheme causes rubbing on the inside of my big toe from the extra bit of "leather". After 3 years of running (and thousands of miles) this shoe gave me my first blister. My feet are kind of wide at the forefoot, I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I would pay extra attention when trying these on.

Sun, July 27,2008:
I have bought many pairs of Nimbus. The 9 was great. But the new 10 model has a smaller toe box than the 9. Even though the shoe is long enough, my toes are cramped and uncomfortable due to the angled style of the toebox. Wish I had bought a few more pairs of the 9 while they were still available. Other than the toebox issue the 10 is what you would expect from the Nimbus - very cushioned.

Sun, July 20,2008:
The cushioning is great, but there's more cushion than support. There is too much extra material in the toe-box which causes blisters. Other than that they are very confortable, but not for running in.

The Nimbus 10 has great cushioning but I don't like the change to the front/top of the shoe. The material added on top of the big toe area pushes down on my toe when I run and has caused me pain and swelling in the toe joint.

It's about time! I was a loyal Nimbus wearer; I loved the VI and the VII. However, I hated the VIII and IX. Reluctantly, I gave the X a try, and they feel alot like the VI used to feel. I average 40-50 miles a week and have a normal arch/normal wear patterns, but I have bunions. This has caused huge problems for the past few years since I wasn't able to find a pair of shoes that didn't hurt my feet. Before I got these, the balls of my toes/feet literally hurt so badly I could hardly walk after a run. After a week in these shoes, I finally feel like I'm able to run comfortably and without pain. For now, I rated the shoes with 4 stars since I only have 47 miles on them; I want to see how they wear. However, if you used to be a loyal Nimbus wearer, give these a try!

I tried these shoes because I needed to replace my worn out Mizuno WR 10s. I hated the WaveRider 11s from the moment that I tried them on and tried to run in the store with them. I tried the Asics Nimbus 10s, in total dispair. I love these shoes even more than my old, beloved Mizunos!

My NB 1061's were giving me a callous/blister but they were the first shoe that I was fitted for at a running store. I went to another store and got fitted for shoes and they put me in the Asics Nimbus 10's and I love them. Ran a 7 miler and no blisters. Even went down 1/2 a size from my NB. I will she how that works out as my mileage increases. So far they work great.

Love these! Would give a 5-star, but bummed that have to go up a good solid 1/2 size over what I normally wore in the Kayanos. Toe box comfortable, but not quite as roomy as Kayanos, but I like these due to the fact that I am an under-pronator and wear a rigid orthotic - these work well for lateral rolling that I am prone to.

I went through 2 pairs of nimbus 8's and had two other pair of Nimbuses prior to that (earlier models) and loved them. Just got my Nimbus 10's and I should've gone with my gut feeling. I wear a wide shoe and the wide Nimbus 10 is MUCH narrower than my prior Nimbuses. I tried them at the gym and thought they were ok....but paid for when I wore them in a 12K. I have LOVED Asics Nimbus but am not too happy now. I can probably use them for shorter runs - but will have to wear my Nike Zoom Vomeros for longer distance.
