Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Cumulus 10 Running Shoe:

I bought this shoe about a year ago and went through two pairs of it before switching to the Speedstar. I enjoyed running in this shoe, but I think it is too much shoe for me. I certainly wouldn't talk anyone out of buying this shoe, I think it is a great shoe to train in, but not race in.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Cumulus 10 Running Shoe:

After using Gel-Kayano's for several generations, I decided to give a different model a try. These shoes fit very well right out of the box and once I "trained the laces", could be the best Asics shoe I have ever worn. Excellent for running, walking and even use them for cross training. Hey, Asics guys, how about building these in the USA?

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Cumulus 10 Running Shoe:

I have been a Nimbus user for years and decided to try the Cumulus purely for economic reasons. I have to say I noticed no difference in the cushioning on my first 4 mile run today and that added stability is definatly noticeable. I will have to wait and see what they are like on a long run but so far these are steal for the price. If they hold up the Nimbus will be replaced. Not sure what people were feeling with Achilles rub. Maybe shoe was too big.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Cumulus 10 Running Shoe:

I?m a once to twice a week runner 1-3 miles each run. The knee pain I was experiencing I thought was from getting older. My first run in the new Cumulus 10s my knees hurt for the first ? mile or so then the pain was gone. On my two runs since then, I?ve had no knee pain. It feels like I?m running on a cloud. In part it could be due to the fact that my previous Cumulus pair is 8 years old and the cushioning is gone. I wear a 10.5 to 11 depending on the shoe. I had to get an 11 in the Cumulus. I have a slightly wide foot (1E) but the D size of the Cumulus 10 fits great. Toe box is just roomy enough with no pinching of the toes. I was torn between the Nimbus and the Cumulus, so I tried them one on each foot and did a short jog in the store. Though I preferred the color scheme of the Nimbus, I went for slightly better comfort of the Cumulus. Heal cushioning is awesome and the forefoot is pretty darn good also. They seem lighter than my 8-year-old Cumulus pair. My running style is normal, m

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Cumulus 10 Running Shoe:

Terrible shoe! I got a pair as part of the VIP family plan thinking they'd eventually replace the Cumulus VI. I've got 50 miles on them and have discomfort after every run from 6 to 20 miles. If I can't find more VI's (best of the series, by far) I may have to switch to the Air Peg.

Super plush forefoot cushioning, nice support on the rear part of the arch, soft snug fit due to minimal overlay in the upper, all that in a light and flexible package. Great for running on road and hard surfaces.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Cumulus 10 Running Shoe:

Truly, generations sought after the shoes for reliable cushioning and stability. The shock absorption is unique that when you run you enjoy
those bounces yet you don't feel the jerks in your heels or feet. A great help for early morning walks with its reflectivity material. Lightweight shoes with good durable midsole and outsole for great heel cushioning. Get ready with ASC1328 to fight your walking woes, in red and white.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Cumulus 10 Running Shoe:

I wish I could get more Cumulus 7s or 8s. The heel liner is just too high and, like other reviewers have stated, rubs the skin right off of both sides of my Achilles tendon area. I kept thinking that they must need to be broken in more, but today I put my older models side by side with the 10s and you can see just how much more pronounced the collar is. I've got six pairs of Cumulus and got to the point where I just ordered the next pair w/o trying them on. I hate that I may have to move on. For $$$ sake, I hope my attempts at "shoe surgery" save these for another month or so.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Cumulus 10 Running Shoe:

I bought the Men's GEL-Cumulus (ASC1328) and find them great for the running I do. I find that when I run, the Cumulus helps my gait. There is no banging or slapping sounds, it helps me move from heel to toe very easily. The cushioning of the Cumulus shoe really helps my knees. I?ve noticed they don?t ache as much anymore. After wearing them a few times, it was like they had molded themselves to my foot and were perfect just for me. I also like how the Cumulus shoe looks, not a consideration for running I know, but still important. An added bonus was the Cumulus?s reflective material so when I run at night, cars can still see me!

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Cumulus 10 Running Shoe:

I put +- 20m a week on these shoes and find them (like the previous editions) to be very good shoes. The only thing I would like is a little lighter version. I switched several years ago from Brooks (also good but very heavy)at the suggestion of my PT and have been happy with the decision.

Forgot to also report: The articulated heel design really lets my foot roll in a technically efficient manner. No "clump" sound when running. No "slap" like the Brooks Defyance. Also, took my son-in-law to the running shop... he tried on all kinds of shoes, too... and, yep, he picked the Cumulus 10. He's been running in them and tells me that his knee pain is gone.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Cumulus 10 Running Shoe:

I'm a recreational runner (18-30 miles/wk) who's pretty much tried everything on the market, and for my feet these shoes can't be beat. I have a wide forefoot and a really high arch. These are light, cushy, with good responsiveness and still offer a street feel. The only complaint I might have is that the collar comes up a little higher than I'm used to.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Cumulus 10 Running Shoe:

I bought this shoe after comparing with several other neutral cushion shoes (fit, treadmill, and "jog" outside). I need forefoot cushioning as I'm a "recovering" suppinator and found the Cumulus 10 to be flexible, well-cushioned, light in weight, and very good in fit (neutral - high arch). Nice open toe box. And, contrary to some readers, I like the foam collar because it keeps out the pebbles and sand when running my country road or the local rails-to-trails. Liked them so much that I went back to the running shop and bought the last pair they had in my size! Enjoy!

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Cumulus 10 Running Shoe:

This seems like a nice neutral shoe especially for a lighter sort of runner or somebody who has an efficient stride. Nice amount of room in the toe box and fits like a glove. However, they just didn't offer me enough support and cushion. Not the right shoe for me but I think it is a shoe worth trying especially for your fast days and mixing up with another shoe for everyday training.

By monica

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Cumulus 10 Running Shoe:

if you are looking for the same shoe as the previous cumulus models, this is not it. The extra rubber on the heel acts like a stabilizer on this model, not allowing for the foot to naturally roll as it would in the previous cumulus models. There is also less cushion in the forefoot on this model. It will be noticeably different for runners who strike at front or mid foot.

This shoe is bad. Im a collegate runner that runs 60-70 miles a week and i'd say this is one of the best shoes ive worn comfort wise. The only down side is at first the collar on the back of the shoe hurts like a mother and rubs all the skin off to the tendon on your achillies tendons. but it blisters up nicely.

Does ASICS even make neutral shoes anymore? Everything they sell has this piece of hard plastic molded into the midsole ("trusstic")which makes their shoes rigid and unresponsive. If I wanted to run in rigid shoes I'd look for motion-control or stability models. I used to be a loyal ASICS fan, but now have turned to Saucony.

Sending these shoes back. If the word cumulus reminds you of big clouds then you have the right idea. There is waaaayy too much cushion in these. No joke, they are heavy, clunky, bulky and they feel like you're wearing snow shoes. Absolutely horrendous shoe they are so bulky that the heel hits the ground before my foot gets all the way out, and makes a little gym floor squeek if I'm on concrete. Going back to the Asics Stratus. (btw I am running 90 mi/week, 2:40 marathoner, 170lbs, 6'2")

I give it 4 stars but thats a bit of stretch. A good shoe but not as good as previous versions. I prefer a "firmer" cushioning and this seems to be much softer. Also I don't care for the heel. The extra rubber provides more control but seems to slow my stride. Switched to the Asics Speedstar.

asics what happened to your shoes?Original cumulus and nimbus were great.Even the stability shoes around 1995,2020 ect.I can run in any good shoe regardless of control features. But something happened when you started changing the mid-sole material.Speva good, solyte going downhill, solyte next version, not.Heel height,to high.Dont copy nike, only nike can do what they do.It works for them due to the air and compression. Please go back to your roots and dont reinvent the wheel-i mean shoe.Or i will stick with nike, because they work.

Not happy with this shoe at all. The heal slips (I have to cut off circulation in my left food to get the heal to stay) and definitely not enough cushioning. Very disappointed.

These are too soft and too much bounce. Not enough cushion. 5'11" 170 lbs

Much improved over Cumulus 9 except: inside collars developed holes in <150 miles and caused blisters on achilles.

Great Shoe! Perfect combination of cushion and responsiveness. Stable heel with flexible forefoot, great feel all the way around. Doesn't fit everyones foot shape right which seems to be the problem in other reviews, but for those that it does fit, this shoe is hard to beat!

I've run on the Cumulus since V.6 and this is a different shoe. The mid-foot cushioning is gone, the fit is also not the same (seems big). I wear a 4E and it seemed wider than the last version. Also, the extra cushioning in the heel gives the shoe more stability than previous versions. I'm searching for something new.....

if you are looking for the same shoe as the previous cumulus models, this is not it. The extra rubber on the heel acts like a stabilizer on this model, not allowing for the foot to naturally roll as it would in the previous cumulus models. There is also less cushion in the forefoot on this model. It will be noticeably different for runners who strike at front or mid foot.

I wear the 4E, and this version seems narrower than the older versions I've run in (the Cumulus 7 and Cumulus 8). I'm sure it's a great shoe for those it fits, but I'm going to have to switch to something else.

Great shoe. Open toe box, effective cushioning and responsiveness. While I was a fan of the New Balance 880 series, Asics has gained my loyalty with this shoe.

Much improved cushioning and the toe box is very open and comfortable. I have used many past versions and this one is the best.

Much improved over the previous version. The new solyte is much softer in both the heel and front foot. A perfect update.

I gave this shoe a review last week but it seemed to have been removed? Is it because I only rated it 3 stars? Anyway it swims in the forefoot and the shoe feels uncomfortable on the lateral midfoot when I run faster. I think the midfoot bridge is pushing up into my foot when I pick up the pace and begin to strike on the midfoot. Will retire this shoe for use in the garden...! 60-70 miles ran.

This cumulus has changed alot from the 9 but in a good way .The heel is very secure and a tiny bit deeper. It reminds me of the Nimbus back about 5 yrs ago as this cumulus has a very goog gel package under the heel.Alot of work went into this update.Bravo to Asics.

Great update! Better cush fore and aft, the heel is more snug, stable and the overall ride is very smooth. New solyte with the new heel unit works well, fit is nice and glove like
