Asics redeems itself. Recent efforts (Cumulus 9, Landreth 3) were worse than disappointing. But this is a great shoe. Light and fast with excellent cushioning up front (Speva forever!). Perfect for tempo runs and longer races (I'd go lighter for 10k or less). I like the color too.

This is the best shoe have ever had it extremely light weight and yet had all the cushioning that i need. i use this as a racing shoe and an an everyday trainer at school and it ticks all the boxes. i use orthotics and with them it is still very light. also i have had these shoes for a year and they are still in reasonable condition after all the pain that i have put them through. a great shoe pity they don't make them anymore.

this is a great shoe i thought it would not be very durable but i have had them for a year and they are still in one piece i would recommend them for someone who likes a lot of running and that has an orthodic because they are lite even with the orthodic. as i am 14 years old i wear them at school and they are very good for an everyday shoe.

I've used this shoe for a 10 mile training run and a 10K race. I really like the overall performance of the shoe. Very light weight.

I'm not a small man (5'11", 185lbs) and I'm 60 yrs old. I want my shoes to be very firm. This shoe is perfect for either training or racing.

This has been a great training/racing shoe. I'm 5'4", 129# and I have put 315 miles on them with plenty of miles left in them. I'm a midfoot striker; therefore, very little wear on the heels. I don't worry much about cushioning because I'm a very light foot striker.

SpEVA is superior to SoLyte by way of cushioning and responsiveness. Thus, these are better than the 4th edition. The color could be a little more appealing. Overall, the only way that these could be better would be to transform them into the original speedstars. ASICS, bring back the originals as classics. I personally will load up on them.

I am a 6' 190lb runner. I have used the asics 2100 series for years also the foundation in the motion control. I purchased these to try a light pair of running shoes. I have been very pleased with these shoes. I normaly only get about 200 miles out of a pair of shoes but these have lasted me about 350 with still a little life left in them. If you are a larger frame runner don't let the light weight design of this shoe scare you off. Give then a try, you will be glad you did

I have run on the DS Trainer series and recently been training on the much heavier Nimbus. That made tying these lightweights on for the CIM last week just awesome. Great shoe and very good support for such a light shoe!

Good shoe so far. They run a bit big for me--was surprised by this with all the comments about them running small. I ordered half size up as it suggests and probably could have gone true to size.

I've ran in Mizuno Wave, a variety of Nike, a variety of Addidas, and Asics. These are comparable with the top light weight trainers of any brand. I've averaged between 35-50 miles per week in these shoes and they have held up well (despite the retailer telling me they were only designed for 200-250 miles). I am on my 3rd pair for the year and have already pre-ordered the Speedstar 4's through Roadrunner. These shoes will hold up for moderately heavy training and are a competent distance race shoe (I've ran 3 marathons in them this year). I'd recommend them for any neutral runner looking for a light weight shoe with some cushioning.

I ordered these shoes as I like Asics an saw they were light weight so I thought I would give them a try. I received them a day before my 5mile run on Thanks Giving day, I didn't have time to break them in so I ran in them and glad I did. The shoes were light and had good cushion. Highly recommended for the price and comfort. can't wait to order a new pair.

Great shoe. Light and comfortable. Perfect compromise between a racer and a trainer. I bought mine for the Comrades marathon 56 mile race. I'm light so they should work just fine! Five stars.

I bought these shoes for a ten mile road race. They worked great. I will be using them for an upcomming 1/2 marathon. I have about 70 miles on them and there is only slight signs of wear. I am practicing Chi running so I am no heel stiker at all. Good luck.

I've been trying to get under 20 min in the 5k for many years--these shoes got me to a 19:47 first time out! Very light and supportive shoes for my high arched feet. I would definitely buy again.

Awful color. what were they thinking? I ofcourse dont buy a shoe based on color, but as Dion Sanders says, look good, feel good". Hopefully next season model wont be yellow and black.

This shoe fit my custom orthodics perfectly. At 6 1" 178 I was hesitant to go with a light shoe but after doing track work I found this to be my favorite shoe to date. Very comfy, good bounce, not to soft, and you can feel the road just enough.

I like this shoe a lot especially for racing. The only problem I have had with these shoes is they have rubbed my heel raw a couple of times, but that could be this pair I have. I would highly recommend this shoe though.
