By Shaun

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Trail Sensor 3 WR Trail Running Shoe:

Moe must have an agenda, I have run on these through every season now and they are the first shoe to handle mud, wet beach sand and a foot of snow and stay realtively dry inside. This is the longest I have ever had a shoe hold up to many washings with bleach (My feet Bark) and not fall apart after a few hundred miles.
They are a little bigger in the toe area and ocasionally I need to re-tie but if your trail runs take you through mud, stickers, beach, roots and bushwacking like mine do it is a great shoe. Good traction, stable and at 200 plus pounds good on my 45 year old knees.

By John

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Trail Sensor 3 WR Trail Running Shoe:

After my first week in these shoes, and 20 miles of forest deer trails, the inside of my knees hurt so much I switched back to my Kayanos. Kayano is the only shoe, so far, I have found that gives me pain-free running. But, Kayano does not work well in mud and puddles, not to mention the other advantages of trail shoes over street shoes. So, I replaced the TS2 insoles with green Superfeet. Fifty-five miles later, no pain. The water resistance is somewhat effective, but does not keep out moisture from tall wet grass. I wear gaitors to keep out debris, so the moisture comes through over the toe box. I suppose that is why they are called water resistant and not water proof.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Trail Sensor 3 WR Trail Running Shoe:

I've got about 50 miles on them now, including a 25 mile insane trail race (lots of big rocks and over 5000 ft elevation gain). No blisters afterward. They are great! Fit my feet nicely (6'3" 200 lbs), great cushoning and traction.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Trail Sensor 3 WR Trail Running Shoe:

I'm new to running, so take this at face value. I'm a 260lb weight lifter trying to get down to a 180lb runner. These actually absorb my weight real well and have great traction on the rocky hills, especially going down (I have to fight my weight). What boggles my mind is that for a D width, the toebox is HUGE and my foot moves all over the place, regardless of how I lace up.

After several years of ...

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Trail Sensor 3 WR Trail Running Shoe:

After several years of trying many things to help me recover from a badly broken leg and some 70 of weight gain, I finally figured out that if I run on the local Snowmobile and ATV trails as opposed to the roads, I could run without getting injured. I bought the Men's ASICS GEL-Trail Sensor 3 WRs in late July and after my first run in them I was convinced that I?d purchased the correct shoe for the job. Now only 325 miles later I have to temper that by saying that, while these shoes have felt good on my feet and provided good traction regardless of how dry and powdery or wet and muddy the surface I was running on, the uppers haven?t worn well at all. The good news is that in spite of the fact that the fabric covering my little toes has long since ceased to exist, the shoes still feel good and continue to get me up and down the trail.

If you are going to be running on rocky trails, this shoe may not be for you. The soles are way too soft. I will not buy another pair.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Trail Sensor 3 WR Trail Running Shoe:

Great trail shoe but not for the serious trail runner. Not enough cushioning in the forefoot. Shoe did not hold up after a 58K trail run, the old trail sensor 2 was a better shoe.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Trail Sensor 3 WR Trail Running Shoe:

The shoe looks OK, but feels more like a bedroom slipper than a running shoe. Quite soft and flexible. The lacing system seems weak, like it won't last and will pull through the eyelets. Also, they are VERY SLIPPERY (when dry) on tile, linoleum, rocks and other smooth surfaces. I almost broke my neck several times walking across my kitchen! I'll be returning them to try the Brooks Cascadia 4 and/or the New Balance 909.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Trail Sensor 3 WR Trail Running Shoe:

I thought they ran about true to size, and if anything they run a little big. The toe box is pretty wide so maybe that is why I am saying they run slightly big. has a very flexible sole.
