Was hoping to love these so that I had a more substantial winter running shoe (I train in Asics Speedstar and Vibrams Bilika). As with most Asics, it runs a bit narrow which is perfect for me. It definitely helps stablize and has comfy cushioning. Where it falls short for me is 1) too much stability for me (I supinate), and 2) a little too much of a sole for my slightly shuffle run style. Will use these for running errands as they look cool (got the green!). I think it is a great shoe for a runner who wants some stability and good cushioning.

I LOVE the shoes. They look really great (I got the white/green) and they're super cushy and yet offer enough support for a good run. This may be based on my running form mostly but I sound like my feet are slapping the ground when I run in these shoes. I don't seem to be getting much "roll" from the shoes as I transition from foot to foot. I'm a mid-foot striker and a heavier runner so that will play into it. I think these are perfect for light weight runners who want to use them for pavement, sidewalks, etc. They're not something I would use for high mileage runs though because I don't know if they would give me enough lasting support because I'm heavier (just not a skinny girl!). I'm a total Asics lover and these did not disappoint!

Great shoe! I bought these shoes for road racing,and they are great for that. I have worn them for 4 races, 3 halfs,and a 5K, and PRed each time. They do wear our easily so it isn't a good idea to wear them more than to break in and race in. Definitely a minimus shoe, as I have worn them on gravel and you can feel the gravel under your feet. I suggest purchasing 1/2 size up, your toes will thank you. I will purchase again. I rotate this shoe with my nimbus (best shoe ever)

These shoes were great out of the box, but after only about 100 miles, they're starting to wear out. Other than that, I love them!

I like shoes that fall into the "minimal" category but are not too minimal, too gimmicky, or too pricey. I was on my 2nd pair of the original Saucony Kinvara and thought I'd try a similar shoe from another brand.

I like these well enough, but probably won't seek them out again. (In fact I've already ordered the Brooks PureConnect as my next-in-line shoe.) The sole is more durable than the Kinvara, but makes more noise on the pavement. The upper is ventilated, but not as much as the Kinvara and somehow makes my feet feel hot. While the Kinvara feels like a slipper, this felt more like a hiking shoe on the treadmill this morning... I was not digging it. But I wore these in a 10k race last weekend (new, right out of the box, something that most people warn against!) and I liked them well enough that day. I only felt a slight pressure on the instep of one foot where the shoe flexed. No blisters or pain, though. They'll be fine after a few wearings.

My only other complaint -- and maybe this is why they feel hot -- is that the heel collar seems very thick and padded and snug, for reasons I don't understand. This kind of shoe doesn't need that.

Overall, it's not as "freeing" as wearing the Saucony Kinvara, but it's a nice, pretty lightweight, no-nonsense trainer for people who don't need extra support or features or heel height. It looks good, too and is worth trying, especially if you can get it on sale! But I doubt this has become a top seller in the "introduction to minimal shoes" category or even in the Asics Gel-33 series.

I can usually wear my Asics shoes right out of the box. I've worn Asics for
probably 20 of my 30 years of running. For some reason these shoe strings
were so short I could not double knot the laces - and barely single knot.
After a 5 mile run my feet were tingling and my left arch is still uncomfortable. After contacting RR sports and complaining about the
shoestrings they agree to send me the "mens" shoestrings. This was odd
due to the fact I have never had any issues with Asics shoes. I hope the longer shoestrings will allow me to run in these shoes - otherwise I will
stick to the Asics Gel sky speed.

Got this shoe around the time it first came out and fell in love! I read reviews that it's somewhat narrow and to order a full size up, and following this advice provided the perfect shoe for me (I was able to try this out in a store and realized that I wouldn't be too happy if I ordered my normal size).
I primarily train and race on pavement, and this shoe's got all the comfort and impact absorption I need to keep my joints and feet happy. Its lightweight feel is AWESOME and I like that it's a good balance of minimalist and cushion.

I always get my ASICS half a size bigger because of custom orthotics but these shoes are already really tight without putting the orthotics in. If I get the next half size up the shoe will be way too long for me.
These are the first pair of asics that I have been disappointed in.

I have never seen a pair of Asics this narrow. Wow, they are going back! If you have wide feet at all, these will not work for you. Gel Kayano work fine for me in normal width due to the wide toe box. These might work if they were offered in a wide width. They feel great in terms of cushioning, lightweight, and they LOOK GREAT in the gray/blue.

I have been brand loyal for years and these are by far my favorite pair of asics. The new styling is flattering. The light weight shoe has been breat to run in. They have lasted longer than any of my other running shoes too!
