Best Uses Comments about Mens Brooks Cascadia 6 Trail Running Shoe: I have always been a great fan of Cascadias, right up to this number 6. Very disappointed. One trip to a 6 mile rocky trail run had me worried. The shoes were very soft, twisty and non-supportive. They gave me no confidence over ankle twisting rocks or rock incline faces. It was like running in slippers. No way as good as my Cascadia 5's so I returned these and bought another 5. Check before you buy these new 6's. Hold the front and bend it up and twist it back and forth. Then do that with some other trail shoes and you will see. If you want them for easy flat packed dirt trails or you are so light and nimble that support and rock traction does not matter, then these would be just fine but if not, I would say pick another shoe.

Comments about Mens Brooks Cascadia 6 Trail Running Shoe: Good solid trail shoe despite the ugly choice of colors. I weigh 225 and am currently deployed to Afghanistan and use them regularly during my physical training runs on local surface which is off-road trails made up of dirt and gravel. Good cushioning and traction is what one should expect in a trail shoe. Front of shoe turns up a bit, but that is more than compensated by the comfortable fit. I love this shoe but please produce it in a better color scheme because the red is really ugly.

Comments about Mens Brooks Cascadia 6 Trail Running Shoe: This would be a great shoe for neutral runners. It is very comfortable and the ballistic rock shield is great!! I purchased it because it was listed as a stability shoe. Well it isn't and didn't offer me the support I needed. I went with the Brooks Adrenaline ASR 7 instead.

Comments about Mens Brooks Cascadia 6 Trail Running Shoe: I train in these bad boys as they are easy on my feet. Haven't donw much racing in them as they are a tad heavy for quick feet. Great for longer distances though and are made well. This is my seond pair and I think I'll stick with them for my weekly milage. Texas terrain can tear up shoes but these are holding up great!

Comments about Mens Brooks Cascadia 6 Trail Running Shoe: With 6 inches of snow and a severe case of cabin fever I decided to trek out for a few miles in these shoes. Other than very red shoes looking out of place on the really white snow they shoes were in its element in these conditions. Very comfortable shoes with a wide base that helped me not sink too deep into the snow. I suspect that they would be perfect for a more normal trail run (will hopefully see soon). After four miles my feet were still dry and warm, and I felt perfectly comfortable on the patches of ice I encountered.

Comments about Mens Brooks Cascadia 6 Trail Running Shoe: I use motion control shoes for road running but have suffered with the mediocre stability in trail shoes for many years. The Cascadia changes everything for me. I tried on 5 or 6 different trail runners and the stability and comfort in this shoe is fantastic. Note that I also went through Roadrunners custom insole process and are using them in my new Cascadias.

Comments about Mens Brooks Cascadia 6 Trail Running Shoe: The Cascadia 6 is a solid shoe. Very durable, fairly lightweight for a trail shoe, good traction. Good looking shoe, can also wear with jeans. I have a couple hundred miles on my Cascadia 4's in all types of terrain with hardly any signs of wear. My 6's have over 100 miles on them and still look brand new. I regulary throw them in the washer. The Cascadia's are so indestructable. The soles hardly look worn with no rips, tears, or any signs of abuse. I would like to see Brooks maybe add Gore Tex to these and a better liner. Often dirt will go through them and get in your socks, hard to avoid trail running, but on sandy, dirty trails it can get annoying.

Comments about Mens Brooks Cascadia 6 Trail Running Shoe: Excellent shoe for trail conditions that vary from dirt to gravel to rocks on the same trail. I run in the hills of Southern California and the conditions require a rugged, stable show with good traction and cushioning, which the Cascadia supplies; I am into my 2nd pair. The only complaint is that this model is 1/2 a size small, so if you normally wear a 10.5 US, this shoe fits best with a 11 US size.

Comments about Mens Brooks Cascadia 6 Trail Running Shoe: I used this shoe for the Oxfam Novib 100K Trail Walk in the Netherlands last week. Between the walk and training, I have put about 300 miles on the shoes and they have many more in them. Combined with wool runner socks, they were great in wet conditions as well.

Comments about Mens Brooks Cascadia 6 Trail Running Shoe: Feel's good but wish it was waterproof. Never know when you will step in a puddle and on wet grass. Would be a 6 if it was waterproof.

Comments about Mens Brooks Cascadia 6 Trail Running Shoe: I have been running on trails with street running shoes but the rocks and uneven surface began to beat my sole. The stiff sole of the Cascadia protected my feet from small rocks and provided enough cushion to give me a comfortable run.
