Chose these on a friends recommendation and they are great. Tried to Dyad 4's however the fit was not the same. Love the 5's and it was great to get away from those uncomfortable motion control stability shoes. Comments about Mens Brooks Dyad 5 Running Shoe: Reminds me of dyad 1, but with MoGo and more dynamic. I am around 200 lbs and high arches, this is a perfect shoe for me :). Comments about Mens Brooks Dyad 5 Running Shoe: I've never found shoes that fit well. Stepping into a pair of dyad 5's was like wearing clouds. They're incredibly comfortable for a wide foot/ narrow heel/ very flat foot/ non over-pronator. I LOVE them. I've been running about 20 miles/wk in them and my knees & ankles have never felt better (5'10", 200lbs). Pros

Comments about Mens Brooks Dyad 5 Running Shoe: I put the Dyad 2's on in 2004 and have not needed to try another style since. I get a new pair every 3-4 months because I'm a Clydesdale, but they seem to last. I've run marathons, half-marathons and all other race distances in them. Great running shoe!

Comments about Mens Brooks Dyad 5 Running Shoe: I am a husky framed runner who loves to run a long and slow pace to maintain my endurance and cardio fitness. This shoe holds up to the constant pounding of pavement for during those long runs without leaving me with sore and swollen feet. The shoe is also extremely light for this type of shoe and very breathable for those hot days and long runs. I highly recommend it for runners with a husky to heavy body frame who rack up those long slow miles and are looking for a comfortable and cushioned ride to take them there.

Comments about Mens Brooks Dyad 5 Running Shoe: I am 5'7" & 195 lbs & have been told that I under-pronate. I have sprained my ankle a few times over the 29 years I have been running. The Dyad has been the best shoe for me. I have been running in them since the Dyad 3. I liked the Dyad 4 the best. My biggest complaint with the Dyad 5 is that my big toe wears a hole the through the upper too quickly. They made the extra reinforcement much smaller than on the four.

Comments about Mens Brooks Dyad 5 Running Shoe: I wear my Dyad 5's every day for walking around, and for running/working out/training and martial arts training as well. I needed a neutral shoe with cushioning, but I don't like a pillowy cushion. I started wearing them when I was in PT for plantar faceitis, and I haven't looked back. I put gel inserts in. This is my 5th or 6th pair. Because I wear them every day, they tend to wear out after two or three months. But that's because they are so light, which I like, so that's ok. Great shoes. Please keep making them Brooks!!!
Comments about Mens Brooks Dyad 5 Running Shoe: Works well with orthotics without it seems a bit clunky Comments about Mens Brooks Dyad 5 Running Shoe: Ran in the Dyad 2 no problems. Ran in the Dyad 3 no problems. Ran in the Dyad 4 no problems. Now running in the Dyad 5 everything hurts, knees, shins and forefoot. The last is different and the cushioning is different. Not the same shoe anymore. I weigh 180 lbs and have flat feet and custom orthotics. Now looking for a replacement shoe! Comments about Mens Brooks Dyad 5 Running Shoe: I have very specific foot problems. My right foot tends to roll out of shoes to the right side so I needed shoes with a very straight last rather than the traditional curvature but also enough support for my flat feet. I found it in these or rather the 2e and 4e versions of this shoe. Brooks is one of the few shoe makers who seem to change the lasts of their shoes to suit various running styles. These are not high performance shoes. In fact, I feel they are rather boaty or bulky, but as I have gotten used to them I have come to be grateful for having them. Glad Brooks still cares about runners and not merely the buck. It's well built and will not let you down on that front. Comments about Mens Brooks Dyad 5 Running Shoe: If you're looking to replace the 4's, look elsewhere. The shape is much straighter. The 2 pods are also different. The support is more to the arch rather than the heel. The overall feel is less responsive, and they look more like a loaf of bread than a running shoe. Another example of an update that changed a perfect shoe. Comments about Mens Brooks Dyad 5 Running Shoe: Fantastic shoe, just bought a second pair. Comments about Mens Brooks Dyad 5 Running Shoe: I've ran in both the Dyad 3 & 4, and I prefered the cusioning and fit of those models to the 5. The 5 does offer adequate support and cushioning for a heavy runner 246 lbs, but does seem much stiffer to me than the 3-4. Comments about Mens Brooks Dyad 5 Running Shoe: This is a good shoe. I used to run in the Dyad 4 and liked those more, however. These shoes are comfortable and provide adequate support. I'm 6'1", 250 lbs. These shoes work for me. Comments about Mens Brooks Dyad 5 Running Shoe: These are great shoes for big guys. I am 6'2" 275lbs, and I compete in mostly 5k's and 10k's. These took a week to "break-in" but now are amazing. This is my 2nd pair of Brooks, the first were adrenaline gts6, and these are better for my hefty frame. Very happy, minus the time it took to break em in.
