I previously had gone through 5 pairs of Brooks Addiction 8, so I was a little wary of changing. But for me, the Addiction 9 is a great replacement. Still comfortable on my long runs and supporting me enough that I have no problems with my knees or legs. I just ran a great half marathon in Indianapolis, and I really like my new shoes! I've had them now for just over a month, and already over 100 miles on them!

I have owned the 8 and the 9. This is a good shoe for those that need good pronation control - the shoes do not feel bulky on your feet. Exceptional wear characteristics - I have many miles on mine.

The shoe is obviously quality made. It's good looking, feels very solid/stable. I ordered the normal width and a 1/2 size larger than my normal and it still feels tight/narrow. I would recommend ordering the 1/2 size with a 2E wide version.

I either run or go to the gym everyday. I am 54 years old, 179 lbs, and I run approx. 25 miles a week. This shoe is extremely stable and very comfortable. I have used this shoe for the last 5+ years (the Addiction). I have been a runner for over 30 years and this is the best shoe I have every worn. My only complaint is that it is a little heavy.

These are my favorite running shoes...great stability and cushioning for long road or trail runs. I run 20 miles/week and these shoes last a solid 6 months before I replace them. I am on my 10th Brooks Addition shoes.

Had this shoe a long tme ago. Recently wen with another brooks and had some problems with my interior heel and some ankle pain as a result. I returned it for this shoe and the pain is gone. The only problem with this shoe is that its heavy.

I am 59 and I walk or run in these shoes every day. I have arthritis in my knees so running can be painful later if I overdo it however. These shoes do have really good cushioning and that helps.

I tried my first pair about a year ago and I have stuck with them. I used to do orthotics but with these I have been doing fine with the factory insole.

I'm 6ft 3in at 220 lbs and needed something more stable than my New Balance (great shoes). I wear a size 14 and have a narrow foot. I went to a foot store and was measured and had my feet checked. I would highly recommend this especially when paying good money for shoes. The Addiction 9 is very stable and eliminated my foot roll. It also is very comfortable and makes running at six thousand feet every day a little easier. So far this is a very good shoe, i'm putting on the miles to see how long they last.

I have flat feet and bad ankles. This shoe has helped me greatly because it provides support as well has enough room to fit orthodox inserts. I am able to walk and exercise and get to enjoy life.

I was a Beast user for many years and I liked them. Sometimes I felt like they were too heavy and felt like they were hard on the landing. I think that this shoe addresses those concerns and can be considered an alternative. They really do seem to combine comfort and stability.

I only run about 7 mi per week, but these shoes work great for me. I am big and need the added support for that reason. These fit well with lots of room for my toes, which seems to be a problem with most other shoes. I lace the shoes through the added holes around the ankle, which works great. The shoes are comfortable and durable.

I have been using the Brooks Addictions for years now. Great shoe for those with foot problems but a little bulky in style.

I switched from the NB 1011 because I was looking for a wider heel and a lighter shoe. I tried the Nike Zoom Structure Triax, but the heel wasn't wide enough. I then tried the Addiction in 11 1/2, based on the size recommendation. It was a bit snug, so I swapped them for 12's. The 12's were right on the money!

These shoes are cushioned well, comfortable, and very stable. I especially like the wide profile. My heel fits completely - no spilling over. I'll probably buy these again.
