Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: I am a treadmill runner through and through. I used to run in the Wave Nirvana 4, which I loved, but they aren't making that generation anymore. I settled for the next best thing, the Wave Nirvana 5, which has not been the same. While the shoe is very stable and somewhat stiff, the cushioning needs some improvement. Also, the arch support is not as robust as I'd like it. Perhaps an insert would do the trick. Otherwise, the shoe is great for over pronation. Just a warning, though, the size is not comparable to other generations (I would say it's 1/2 a size bigger than I'm used to). All in all, however, I am pleased with the shoe's performance. It really supports the ankles, and makes a few miles seem breezy.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: I am a collegiate runner, and have used this brand of shoe ever since I started high school. This model is great because I used to have shin problems, which I don't anymore after using this shoe. However, I've noticed that the newer models of this shoe seem to wear out faster than the older models.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: I have ordered 3 pairs of these same shoes so far, love them. The chart said the fit is a 1/2 size up, but its true to my normal shoe sizes. I have a narrow foot and most running shoes feel too wide but these fit my narrowness just right. Great Cushion! Great Support! They helped my Plantar Fascitis problems immensely!
Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: Loved the 4's, got blisters in the 5's which abated somewhat when I switched the 5's sock liner with the one from my old 4's. I've done long with the 5's, and I, too, like the 4's better but was OK with the 5, as long as 10 miles. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: If you have low arches and need stability, get these shoes!! You won't regret it. They have great support and look much nicer than most shoes of this kind. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: Purchased these yesterday and returned them today. Went out walkinglast night and came home limping...this so is VERY hard! Went back to the Asics -Kayano. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: These are not like the previous Nirvanas. I have foot pain that I've never had with the 2, 3 or 4. I'm always telling people Mizuno are the best, just not this time. Maybe the 6 will be better. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: I have used three pairs of the Nirvana 4 and was very satisfied. Wonderful heel and forefoot cushioning. Stability was also great. I purchased a pair of the 5's and upon wearing themn, immediately notice a difference. Not as much cushioning in the rear and developed blisters after running in them. I would recommend finding a pair of the Nirvana 4's. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: I love the shoe! It's cushioned with just the right amount of support. Just getting over an injury (overpronation and the wrong shoes), my physical therapist recommended the Nirvana. I've never felt better! Without any hesitation, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a stability shoe. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: These are, by far, the WORST shoe that I have ever run in!!! Running in these shoes was TORTURE!! I was aching and hurting the whole way! They have ZERO support, cause major blistering, and have so little cushioning that you might as well just take them off and run barefoot! At least then your feet could breathe!!! I wouldn't recommend these shoes to my worst enemy and they are going back to the store tomorrow!!! Back to my trusty Brooks Adrenaline! Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: Worst shoe ever. My feet hurt- couldn't get through a 5 mile run. No support, no cushioning. I LOVED the Nirvana 2,3 and 4!! Why did they change them for the worse. Gave up Nike for Mizuno looks like I will have to give up Mizuno's now. PLEASE go back to the old model and I will be back. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: I have to say I am not the slimest of girls and I need some good support and these shoes are exactly what I am looking for. They have good cushion and great suport. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: Perfect... thats all I have to say Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: This is a great update to this shoe. I have gone back and forth between these and asics and I think because of this version I will stick with these for a long while. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: These shoes have great support. I love them! I have "falling arches" which lead to shin splints. But one week in these shoes and my shin splints were gone! Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: I agree with Seagirl. The Nirvana 4 was a great shoe. The Nirvana 5 had no support and after 1 run my knees were hurting. I thought i was my fault so I ran with the shoes 2 more times and each time my knees hurt. And my feet moved around in this shoes even though I ordered the correct size. The Nirvana 5 was the 3rd Mizuno shoe I ordered this year. I didn't like any of them. So I will be looking for another Nirvana 4. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: I loved my Wave Nirvana 4's and was excited to try the 5's. I feel that there is a lot less fore foot cushioning in the 5's than in the previous model. I notice more pain on the balls of my feet and knees after running in the Nirvana 5's. I only use them on runs under 6 miles due to this and was able to locate another pair on the Nirvana 4's online to use on longer distance runs when the cushioning is ultra important to me. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: I've been a Asics Kayano fan for nearly eight years and resisted trying a new shoe for fear of messing with a good thing. After research and an evaulation at a RRS store, i made the switch and LOVE these shoes. I've only run 25 miles or so in them over the past few days, but so far they're great. No big adjustment or need to break them in. It was definitely worth the switch. They're lighter feeling than the Kayano too, which is a plus. If you like the Kayano and need a little extra padding, these are definitely worth a try. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: I can not even run in these shoes. I have 4 pairs of Nirvana's and iI love them all but these are not the same you would think the fit would be similar but they are not at all. i use them to run errands in but not for running at all. A waste of money for running.. Love the color and that's about it... Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5 Running Shoe: They have great cushioning and stability, but the elastic that is connected to the tongue caused a blister. I ordered 1/2 size up and would up with a bruised toenail. Tried a full size up and it still hurt my toes. They were returned for some Kayanos.
