At first, the heel wear (outer) was excessive but that seems to have improved to acceptable. My current pair is over a year old and has survived about 24 races ranging from the mile to 15K or 9.3 miles (I don't use them for training). They work well in terms of injury protection, comfort, and power transfer/traction. I'm getting ready to order another pair. I'm a small (5'6", 130 lbs) runner, age 61, with a 5K best this year of 20:01. Comments about Mens Mizuno WAVE Precision 10 Running Shoe: I'm 5'9",142 lbs, med/high arch and run 40 miles per week(without socks). I was a big fan of precision 7's and 8's. I wondered if my precision 9's were incorrectly made as they cut my toes every run, and caused unbearable pain until i threw them out. The 10's have that heel to to transition i love about mizuno, and fit my foot again. The wider tongue was nice, right out of the box it added comfort where the 9's lacked it. Light shoe, but don't leave you feeling like you're running in bare feet on concrete like in the Elixir. Have now gone as far as 14 miles in a single run in them, also tied my 5 yr old 5 mile PR. Took almost no time to break them in. Excellent shoe. Comments about Mens Mizuno WAVE Precision 10 Running Shoe: I am a neutral runner who likes light shoes with zero medial support. I thought this was the shoe ( light, and pretty) until the second mile into my first run in them, the Posting on both shoes started to bother me. I had to quit and then walked home. If you are looking for zero stability, this is not the shoe for you. Also, If you never liked Mizuno, This is not the shoe for you either. Wanted to give one star, but that would be too inconsiderate to the brand. Comments about Mens Mizuno WAVE Precision 10 Running Shoe: Much happier with 10 vs. 9. Toe box has more room but not too much. Ran a marathon 3 weeks after getting shoes and had 1st marathon in years without losing a toe nail. Good light trainer but as with most lightweights the sole wears out too fast. I guess thats good for the shoe maker. Comments about Mens Mizuno WAVE Precision 10 Running Shoe: Great shoe. Right amount of cushioning for a light shoe. I ran a half-marathon in them, and they did great. I also train in the Wave Rider 12s, and these are a great complement to them. Comments about Mens Mizuno WAVE Precision 10 Running Shoe: I did not have much hope for the Precisions 10 as I found the precisions 9 to be to soft in toe and felt like it was working against me. Comments about Mens Mizuno WAVE Precision 10 Running Shoe: Still a bit mushy and too flexible in the mid-foot--it fold like a bedroom slipper. As good or better than the 8 and 9, NOT as good as the 7. Pros

Comments about Mens Mizuno WAVE Precision 10 Running Shoe: For a neutral runner, this is ideal for day-to-day training or racing if you're not ready for racing flats yet. I bought 3 more pairs after my first pair started wearing down.

Comments about Mens Mizuno WAVE Precision 10 Running Shoe: I was looking for a fast shoe for training and racing marathons. These are perfect and they led me to my fastest marathon ever... in Boston. Not quite a racing flat but exactly what you need to train and race long distances.

Comments about Mens Mizuno WAVE Precision 10 Running Shoe: I was looking for a light cushioned shoe for tempo runs and intervals. I found it. Mizuno has a winner here. I use a pair of cushioned inserts with them for added cushion and support but you wouldn't need them. The shoes are very comfortable, fit true to size, and seem to wear very well.

Comments about Mens Mizuno WAVE Precision 10 Running Shoe: I absolutely loved the first generation of this shoe. Subsequent iterations seemed clunkier- like they were marketing a Wave Rider-lite. This shoe is a nimble every-day trainer, equally suited to speed work as well as distance training. Seems to revisit the spirit of the original Wave Precision although it could be trimmed down just a bit. Beginners and "joggers" will likely want more support and cushioning.
