A comfortable ride that provides sufficient comfort and support to a big runner like me. Durable and well constructed, the shoe performs without issue and I have no complaints. The switch to Mizuno was made because of this shoe.

The 9 has been my favorite Alchemy. I had the 8s and a pair of 10s and by far this has been my shoe of choice. I can slip these on and run a marathon in them with no breaking in. I have been getting in about the high 400s in mileage. Very durable.

Absolutely LOVE my Wave Alchemys! I've run in the Asics 2000 series, Kayanos, Brooks Adrenaline, and Saucony Omnis and the only ones that can even compare to these are the Kayanos. Lightweight, but with good support. I am a moderate overpronator with low arches, and these shoes are very comfortable. I've run a couple of Half Marathons in them and have been very happy. My only concern is whether or not they will be durable enough for my 200+ lb frame, but they are comfortable enough that I would rather replace them frequently than switch shoes while I am now training for my first marathon.

Great stability for my flat wide clown feet (kudos on the wide width too). Also amazingly flexible, lightweight, and responsive too. Only flaw is that they do need more cushioning, especially in the forefoot. Hopefully mizuno will address this in the next version of the Alchemy, but until then I'll just keep tinkering with insoles to get the cushion I need..

A fantastic stability shoe that just needs a little more cush in the forefoot. Perfect stability and arch support for my flat feet, these shoes actually DO correct overpronation properly (I was amazed). Also very smooth h-t, and surprisingly flexible. I only find myself tinkering with the footbed, however...just trying to make them a little more cushioned...

6' 2", 170 lb, overpronator. Just tried this shoe to replace the Wave Elixer 5 which was much too stiff in the forefoot. This shoe has mediocre transition from the outside heel into the midfoot strike. Ride is average; outsole is compliant though. Stability platform too stiff for my liking. Going to try the Nike Lunarglide or Vomero 4.

Once I found these shoes, I have never bought a different pair of shoes. I ran my first marathon in these shoes and will be running my next this December. A great shoe for the price. Highly recommended.

Great shoe. Feels lighter than advertised and allows for great roll through the step. MIzuno doesn't pack so much junk into the shoe (thick cushion, heavy duty plastic Motion control stuff), which allows your foot to actually feel the step, which I think is key to good mechanics. I wear custom orthotics (chronic ITBS, currently running pain-free in this shoe). I would run races in these shoes, they feel quick.

Good stability in a nice ride. Upper could be a little shorter around the ankle. It can cause some rubbing

I had to switch over to a stability shoe when I saw film of my stride. These shoes straightened me right out. The film with these shoes showed just how much support they give even though they are very light.
