Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Inspire 6 Running Shoe:

I'm 44 years old, 6'1", 205 lbs, with a normal arch and slight pronation. Have had chronic Achilles and calf strain problems in the past. I run about 25 miles per week. After trying nearly every other brand and model over the past 20 years, I have settled on the Mizuno Wave Inspire as "my shoe". Am currently on my 5th consecutive pair, having started with the Inspire 4, and now on the Inspire 6. No pain, no injuries, it just seems to work for me.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Inspire 6 Running Shoe:

The Inspire 6 is lighter than comparable shoes and just feels fast. It feels above average in cushioning, flexibility and responsiveness. I ran the Gold Coast Marathon in the 5s last year and this version feels better (and I liked the 5s a lot). The Mizunos seem to feel better when you pick up the pace so may suit midfoot / forefoot strikers more so than heel strikers. I am 6"2" and 180 lbs. I will buy my second pair of these in a month or so, recommend.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Inspire 6 Running Shoe:

I love the Wave Inspire because I really feel a connection with the road under me. I've had other shoes with more cushion but they felt so bulky. These have good cushion and arch support but I still feel the ground with each step. They fit like they were custom made for my feet. My first pair of Mizunos got me through my first marathon in San Francisco. I'm on my second pair now, for the Honolulu marathon.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Inspire 6 Running Shoe:

I had nothing but problems with every other running shoe until the Mizuno Inspire came along and changed everything. When I wore Asics, runs of six miles or more guaranteed blisters and knee problems. The first time I ran six miles in my Mizunos it was a dream, and then when I did ten miles it was a breeze. My feet LOVE these shoes-- they're light, flexible, and well-ventilated. Asics felt like lead weights, these feel light as air but still stabilize my over-pronation. I am in love with these shoes!

The fit of this shoe runs true to size and is a very comfortable shoe. If you are looking for a shoe that cushions each stride and offers sove very good support. Good overall shoe for the person putting in about 40-60 miles per week. Very good mid-high mileage shoe.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Inspire 6 Running Shoe:

Training for a half marathon...my first. Bought stability shoes because local running stores said I need them, another running store said I needed a neutral...go figure. Have been running in them for about 3 weeks now. The shoe is very comfortable, but I have noticed after a 3 mile run I have soreness in my right hip flexsor area. Don't know if this has anything to do with me running in a stability shoe instead of a neutral, but shoe itself feels fine.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Inspire 6 Running Shoe:

This is an awesome update to the 5. Sports a better fitting upper which really increases heel stability. I felt the 5 had the overlays way to far forward and this has been fixed. I have run in this shoe since the 2 and this one has the sweetest ride of them all. However, it does seem to sacrifice some stability that was present in the earliest versions of the shoe. Overall, very nice shoe and anyone would be hard pressed to find a moderate stability shoe that transitions this well.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Inspire 6 Running Shoe:

Good shoe. Lightweight and feels "fast". I love the way it cradles my foot. I am 5'7'' 160 lbs. Run 20-30 miles a week. Ran a PR in these in a 10k. For longer runs (half marathon) I definitely need more forefoot cushioning. I ended up buying the Nirvana 6's for longer runs and I use these for shorter runs/races. Overall a great trainer/shoe. For me though I have to keep the runs under 10 miles in these due to lack of cushioning.

I?m 5?8? 168lbs with a neutral foot strike. However, I need a stability shoe for runs longer than 4 miles. I tried to run in the Wave Rider 11?s but ended up with PF issues. I normally run in Asics 1120?s/1130?s/1140?s. I purchased the Wave Inspire 6 based on reviews. Anyway, the shoe does not have the cushioning of the Asics and I find I get sore on runs longer than 6 miles. Looks like I?ll be using them for shorter tempo runs and 5k races. IMO the Asics 1100 series shoes can?t be beat. They weigh the same as the inspires, have more cushioning and I don?t notice a big difference in the heel to toe transition either. Sorry Mizuno, but my next pair of shoes will be the 1150?s (when they have some better color options).

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Inspire 6 Running Shoe:

I am giving this shoe 4 stars just because I really tried to like it, and did like it, however I returned it because I was afraid it wouldn't hold up. I am 195 and it felt like I was crushing the wave support in the heel. In fact I looked at the shoe in a mirror while applying downward pressure to the heel, it was completely compressing the wave under my weight. This may not have been an issue, but it felt a little light in the heel while running. My main concern was that it wouldn't hold up over time. I am really disappointed because the shoe was the most comfortable one I tried on out of several. If you are a lighter runner needing stability, this is probably a perfect shoe for you. I am hoping Mizuno will make this shoe with a little heavier wave in the heel. I would love to try Mizunos next, will have to wait and see what's coming up as I went with the Asics GT-2140 this go around, it seems to have all the beef I need.

Absolutely Awesome shoe line. If you need or like a stability shoe with flexibility, forefoot cushioning (that is noticable) and over heel to toe transition this shoe is it. Shoe is LIGHT too!! Shoe lasts about 400 for me outside and about 500 miles on a treadmill. I have tried Kayano's, 2140's, and Gel-Nimbus (most recent) and nothing is close for me.
Also, ran 1st marathon (3:45) in Inspire 5's.

Im 58 168lbs with a neutral foot strike. However, I need a stability shoe for runs longer than 4 miles. I tried to run in the Wave Rider 11s but ended up with PF issues. I normally run in Asics 1120s/1130s/1140s. I purchased the Wave Inspire 6 based on reviews. Anyway, the shoe does not have the cushioning of the Asics and I find I get sore on runs longer than 6 miles. Looks like Ill be using them for shorter tempo runs and 5k races. IMO the Asics 1100 series shoes cant be beat. They weigh the same as the inspires, have more cushioning and I dont notice a big difference in the heel to toe transition either. Sorry Mizuno, but my next pair of shoes will be the 1150s (when they have some better color options).

5'11" 51 year-old runner - 25 to 35 miles a week. aftyer a 10 mile run. A comfortable, light, good heel toe transition - good shoe! Not as plush, insulated, or heavy as the 2040, but that's a good thing for me. I might run the Philly Marathon in these.
