The Alchemy 9 had very little cushioning in the forefoot, giving lots of road feel, but making it really firm for long runs. Bucking the trend of less-is-more in shoes, the 10 has much more cushioning in a slightly higher-profile shoe, with a noticable slope from heel to toe, compared with the 9. The upper is still very breathable, even with the additional layers. The toe box seems smaller, or maybe my old 9s are just wider from being worn out, but the 10 still has plenty of space. The size is true for running shoes, which is half a size bigger than street shoes. These provide good pronation control, but I still use blue SuperFeet to help keep my foot in place. Overall, the updates really worked for me, and I'm very pleased.

I have been wearing the Wave Alchemy since the number 8 model, and I love the model generally. I originally chose the model because of how lightweight it is, which is difficult with a stability shoe. I am a severe overpronator, use orthotics, and run 30+ miles per week. I have worn these shoes through training for 3 half marathons and one marathon.

I find this version works well with orthotics as the last two models. This version is more substantial than the last two, with maybe an extra quarter inch in the heel. The shoes are still very light, and bend fairly well for how supportive they are.

Overall, I will continue to wear the Wave Alchemy.

Just bought these shoe and they are very comfortable and durable. I run 20-30 miles a week on the road. There's alot of cushion throughout the whole shoe and not just in the heel. I overpronate and this shoe provides great support. Mizuno did an awesome job with this running shoe!

I've been running for years and have tried every other brand. Will never run in a different shoe again. I only run in Mizuno.

I am a small person and I like this lightweight shoe because it offers support without weighing me down. It is also very true to size.

I was very nervous about switching to Mizuno's after running in Saucony's for the past 5.5 years. Pleasantly surprised with this first pair. I do find after about 10 miles the balls of my feet will get achey, so more cushioning there would be helfpul. I pronate pretty badly and have had some knee issues in the past, I also wear custom orthotics with these and have had no issues so far. It does feel like the toebox is a little narrow, but that could be just me. They run a little small, I wear 9.5 and had to get a 10. I run between 20-30 miles a week depending on time of year.
Overall, I am happy with them and will buy another pair.
