Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: 6'3", 190lbs, 30-40 MPW. Firm, responsive ride while providing perfect amount of cushioning to protect and comfort. Not so much squishy and dampening, as rebounding and supporting. Support is just right, and surprising for such a lightweight neutral shoe. Feels like an extension of the foot (hardly know its there) and virtually dissapears in the turn-over. Great snug fit in the heal and arch, a little narrow in the fore-foot....but not restrictive. Absolutely love it so far. Running in Brooks Ghost 3 and Wave Alchemy 10 (very long runs) and rotating the Rider 14 in. Very Solid, great feeling and performing shoe, while being fairly simple. Pros

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: I work in a running store and we each received a pair of Mizuno's. I pick the Wave Rider because I am neutral. I have been running in the Nike Vomero 5 and while I like the shoe the Wave Rider 14 has a much more responsive ride. I am a mid to forefoot striker and this shoe allows my foot to go through this motion much more easily. With the Vomeros I feel like I have to force my foot to do what it wants to do. My first run in the Wave Rider 14 was a 6 miler and I loved them! I am thinking of ordering a pair of the Percisions based on my experience with these shoes. I think I have found a new favorite shoe. Best Uses Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: I run 16 to 20 miles a week. I'm 145 lbs at 5 feet 4 inches and have a neutral foot. This shoe displaces the foot impact and helps you push away to the next stride to let you run more and more. Love the weight. Almost light enough to be a performance trainer, and still have the cushion to tackle the long run. Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: First the green midsole color is awesome. Can not get any better. Also looks great with jeans. Love running in them and wearing them everyday. Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: I've used riders faithfully the last 6 years. I firmly believe these are the best riders by far. I have used them right out of the box for two 10 mile runs and the rest were short 5 milers. Felt great , no break in, just right. I did have to go up in size as they were a bit tight, other than that , perfect.. Pros

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: These are the best shoes in my closet. I've ran in Wave Riders for several years now, and these are the best ever. Great 6 mile run straight out of the box. Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: The new AP+ midsole has made a big difference. More cushioned, but not mushy in the forefoot and the heel is not as firm as prior models. Slightly narrower in the toebox, but still great for me. Should be an option now for more runners looking for a solid neutal cushioned lighter weight trainer and it will work for races as well! Pros

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: I have been in this shoe for 15 years. Logged many marathons, triathlons, and 100 mile runs. I can take a new pair right out of the box and don't have to break them in. I've suggested them to my friends and they all thank me. I have never had a problem. I'm 5'8" 150 lbs

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: Mizuno has a great shoe in the latest edition of the wave. This shoe feels light with adequate cushioning. Wear them for marathon training and event running with good success. Feel easy on the calves on long runs. My only concern is that as an under pronator I wear the outside of the shoe down by 250 - 300 miles of running. Noted the potential high collar on the ankle. I have been wearing a thin sock with a heavier sock over for my distance running. Suggest gel heels under the sock liner for a little lift or orthodics.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: After going on a couple of 5 mile runs on these shoes, I got good bruises in the outer side of my right ankle. And I have to add, I do not have wide feet at all. Otherwise, the shoe felt a little heavier than previous models, but it was overall a great shoe, helping me bounce of the ground and to have a very smooth stride. Fix the heel counter, and I'll be buying them for sure!

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: I wanted to love this shoe, I really did...but after three different insoles and several bruised ankles, I've realized that they just don't fit me very well. The problem is that the outer side of my ankles knock against the wall of the shoe (the part that dips, presumably to compensate for that very problem). I hoped to alleviate the problem by simply wearing different insoles which would lift my heel higher, but I've tried three of them (including the very cushiony Spenco Cross Trainer), and none of them have helped. This is the first time I've ever had this problem with any pair of running shoes I've owned including Nike, New Balance, and even other Mizuno's (my last pair was the Wave Creation 11, which fit great). It's really a shame, because I can tell that these would be really comfortable otherwise.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: Excellent long distance running shoe that provides the cushioning needed. Continue to make this quality shoe, without compromising and you would have a loyal customer.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: My husband ran his first marathon two years ago. He is extremely picky about his footwear. He tried the Wave Rider and thought it was great. He is now on his second pair. He is all about comfort.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: I've been wearing Wave Riders for several years now for my road running, 25-40 miles per week. They've always fit perfectly right out of the box. I noticed with this latest incarnation that the heel section seems a bit stiffer than in the past; as a result it's taking longer to break them in (usually they feel practically broken in when new). I've even put them through the wash a few times to try and soften them up. If not for this issue I'd rate them 5 stars. But I still highly recommend the shoe. They're very durable, typically lasting me 400-500 miles, even after the washings I put them through.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: I love Mizuno. I've only had these a few weeks, and other than a bit tight on the top of the big toe, these seem fine. On all my other Mizunos, I have not noticed any uncomfortable issues right out of the box. And this toe thing will probably be gone in time, as well. I look forward to many long miles.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: Shoes look good and feel even better. This is my second pair of the Wave Riders. This is a great neutral shoe. I had the 13s before and love the 14s. I am a heavier runner at 218 lbs, with a medium to high arch. I average 18-22 miles/week and I use this shoe primarily for my medium distance runs of 4-8 miles. Shoes breathe well and provide good heel cushion without being mushy. Toe box is wide and more firm than the ASICS Nimbus 12, but not hard. I use the Nimbus 12 for my long runs and love them. Prior to using the Wave Riders I was in the Mizuno Wave Alchemy 9. The Alchemy was recommended by the local runners shoe store and was comletely the wrong shoe type. The Alchemy caused me to develop planters faciitus and it went away very quickly with the Waver Riders and planters specific stretching. Roadrunner sports has been great to work with. Exchanges have been very easy with no questions asked. I will continue to purchase my running gear from them.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: They feel a little heavier than the Rider used to be, but they are very nice and snug fitting with lots of space in the forestep. My only complaint is that the heel rides a little higher that older riders which rubs when I walk, however, I don't notice it while running or after.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: I'm training for my first marathon, putting 30 to 40 miles on the Mizuno's each week. Right out of the box an 8 mile run was just as comfortable as shoes that have already seen mileage.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: I run about 20+ miles a week and I have to say this is by far the most comfortable running shoe I have owned. Though I have been recommended by shoe dog to run in stability shoes, I tend to find both neutral and stability shoes to be comfortable. Having just transferred from Lunarlites I have to say these feel just as stable.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: Unusual to find wide shoes in this size range, but nonetheless an absolutely great shoe for my wider than average feet. Am going back in to order a bunch for future years of running.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: Agree with Ramrunner's comment, I have been running in this shoe for at least 6 years. I am light weight, 25 - 40 mile a week guy. These shoes typically take a week or two to feel right. Took the 14's out of the box and they felt great right away. Slightly more snug around the heel than the 13's with ever so slightly more arch support - just perfect. Nice job.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: I have worn different versions of the Rider 14 for many years. Mizuno neutral shoes work well with my high arches. I have been a fast runner in previous versions and have lately been a walker and slower runner in the Rider 14's due to a injury. The Rider 14 is a good version in a long line of dependable good shoes.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: Great all around trainer and racer. The overall Wave Rider design keeps getting better but this model does dig into my ankle somewhat with the outer heel wall. Other than that it's a nice update - and the black/green color combo is sweet.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: Great shoe. I have been a mizuno user for a couple of years, but this is their best product, for me. I am a larger guy, but the shoe works well for me. Did not have to break it in and everything moves well together.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe: I have been using Wave Riders for over 6 years and these are the first ones that feel perfect right out of the box. Usually it takes me about 40-50 miles to break in a pair of shoes but these felt great on the first run. They are also very responsive. Best version yet. Pros
