As a pretty severe over-pronator running about 20-25 miles/week, I had been wearing the Mizuno Alchemy 10, but I decided to try something lighter with the Inspire 8. I added a pair of Super Feet insoles for a little more control. The heel fits well, and the forefoot is wide enough even for my bunions. The foot wrap over the arch took several runs to get laced so it felt comfortable and my foot wasn't sliding around, and I still adjust it before every run. I haven't had the shoe long enough to see if it wears better than the Alchemy (I couldn't get more than 275 miles on them before the outsole would wear out).

I bought these shoes in November. They were reasonably comfortable, good stability and cushioning as noted in previous reviews. The mint green colour was interesting but has faded some. I am a light (~115lbs) runner with a fairly easy stride and as such typically get 400 - 500 miles wear out of my shoes. The treads on these were completely worn through after less than 200 miles. Have they substituted less durable materials to improve margins? Who knows. I've since switched to the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 13 which are wearing nicely and great great great. Your move, Mizuno.

Ordered these to avoid having to buy another pair of the horrible Nimbus 14's. Were these a half size larger (wear 7-7.5 in streets, normally 8's in running) I'd keep them. Unfortunately I live in a hilly area and need extra room for running downhill. These are a good 1/2inch or more shorter than my Numbuses of the same size. Going back to Asics.

Great, light weight and comfortable. There aren't very attractive but I wanted something light as well as good for street and track running. Needless to say I gave them a shot and have no regrets. If you need something light for your feet but can handle being pounded on then these are good for you.

I bought these because I was looking for a lighter shoe that would still give some stability. The shoe I currently run in and ran in before this shoe was/is the Brooks Adrenaline.

I love the look of these shoes, super lightweight, and they are breathable, and love the color.

What I didn't like was that it felt like I had to lace and relace to get them tight enough around my foot. Once I did they felt comfortable for the most part. I broke them in with a few 3 mile runs, and they felt ok, I did notice a little heel pain, and I thought it was probably nothing to do with the shoe until I ran a 10k with them...and my heels were SO sore. And I have never experienced heel pain before this shoe ever.

I think they just weren't the right shoe for me and something about them made me heel strike.

Sadly had to return them!

I have extremely flat feet and have gone through numerous pairs of running shoes trying to find some with the right arch support in the right places. Did quite a bit of research before buying a new pair and the Mizuno Inpire 8 got great reviews. I went to the local running shop, tried some on and was instantly sold. I did also buy some arch supports while I was there that I put in the Mizunos (can be bought at [@]) that have helped as well. Since I've gotten these shoes, I've noticed a drastic decrease in my, what is usually regular, arch pain. Tremendous shoes!I wear a 7.5 in all shoes except for running shoes. In those, I always wear an 8 and the Mizuno 8 fit just right, so they run pretty true to the size you usually wear in running shoes.

I bought the Wave Inspire 7's from a local running store (my first pair of Wave Inspires), and then saw that Mizuno had released the Osaka Marathon Wave Inspire 8's, so I decided to order a pair and compare the two. The 8's are DEFINITELY an improvement over the 7's, particularly if you look at the issues people had with the 7's in comparison to previous models. I've never worn the Wave Inspires before now, but based on the complaints I read about the 7's, I would say that the 8's probably go back towards what everyone loved about the 6's and previous models. The 8's have a lower ankle cuff, don't have that weird separated eyelet at the top, and they're just ever-so-slightly more cushioned, particularly in the toes. It's not a big difference, so if you like the cushioning in the 7's, you won't feel that the 8's are too soft. My only minor quibble with these is that the colors are VERY bright! They draw a lot of attention to your feet, and they don't look great if you're just going to kick around town in them with a pair of jeans on. I've heard that Mizuno is having the full release of the 8's in more colors in December 2011, though.

This is an AWESOME shoe! I bought it sight unseen after hearing the buzz about it on Runners World and I fell in love with this colorway... it's so hard to find stability shoes in bright colors!

I was a bit nervous as the Inspire 7's were "meh" but I love the Elixir 6's but I figured it was worth a try. FABULOUS! I wore them straight out the box with NO issues for a 10 K run, and just took them out for another run today. Good support but lighter than my usual Asics 21XX series.

Sizing is the same as the Elixirs for me, which is a 1/2 size bigger than my Asics/Brooks/Nike size.

I'm a Mizuno convert... I plan to buy another pair since this color is limited. I can see this being my half-marathon training shoe this year!

The 8 is great. The fit is back. The 7's were an uncomfortable disappointment!Thanks for listening Mizuno. The extra cushioning is awesome!! Will definately buy more of these! The limited edition color does get some conversation. Love them!!!!!
