      I have flat feet and bunions. I've been wearing this shoe through at least 4 or 5 editions and have never had a problem. This is the only shoe with a wide enough toe box. I strongly recommend it.

        I researched shoes for my daily 5 mile walks online, as well as doing the legwork of trying on lots of shoes. I am a SUPINATOR (outside of my shoes show the wear). If I don't get a shoe for this my feet, legs, knees, and back kill me. I preface this by stating that I have bought the same exact 883s twice before my purchase of them again today. I wanted something different (just bored of the same ole), but after trying on a variety of Asics "for supinators", I found them to be too narrow and not as comfortable as every review seems to rave. I deal directly with a [...] store in my area, so yes I paid a tad more, but I am completely sold on my 883s and will not condsider straying again out of bordem. [...] they work with podiatrists who recommend the 883s most out of their entire line for supinators. They are like walking on clouds. Worth every penny. I wear an 8 1/2, but buying these in 9 is most comfy.

        What happened to the 882. ...

        What happened to the 882. Tried the 883, big difference. 882 was a dream for flat footed self. 883 so so. Lacks the cushion and stability, not as solid as 882. I hate it when companies do this.

        I have to agree that these shoes are a big disappointment. I bought the NB 883 because they are supposed to provide better support for the flat footed runner. I have not had problems with NB's in the past. The shoes look nice but my feet were hurting after the first run.

        I have been thru 4-5 updates of this shoe (since the 878?). I have a wide toe box and my toes do not get squished in this shoe.
        I don't understand this shoe being marketed for flat arches - the definition under Neutral shoes is high arch (which I definitely have).
        Love this shoe - but was not happy with the light blue of this shoe - looking forward to the new shoe with maybe a green or fushia color!

          These shoes rock! This is my second pair of WR883. Actually, first pair of WR883 but I had the 882\'s for two years and several hundred miles and they\'re practically the same thing. These shoes have the widest toe box on earth. I have squares for feet, so I need some extra room in the toe. The middle of the shoe hugs my foot perfectly so that I don\'t walk on the sides of my feet. The only thing I\'m bummed out about is that the awesome braided/quilted/whatever shoestrings from the 882 have been replaced by a cheaper version in the 883. They come untied a bit more often which can be irritating. Other than that, great shoe and definitely worth the money!
