Very light shoe. Feels as though I am wearing the Adrenaline with a lot more support/cushioning in the front where I need it. Going up 1/2 was too big...wearing my street shoe size with thin socks. RRS customer service made it easy to exchange at store. Terrific RRS customer service.

I really loved the 1223. The 1224 series were terrible. They felt more like a motion control shoe than a stability shoe. They really never felt worn in. The 1225 have a lot more forefoot flexibility but the cushion I love in this series. The shoes feel great.

I love the support this shoe offers without being overly heavy. There's lots of cushion but it's still flexible and more toe room than the 1223. I'm sure I will buy this shoe again.

I have a wide skinny foot and have had the hardest time finding shoes that fit correctly. This shoe keeps my foot snug but still has enough width to keep my little toe from going to sleep.

I bought my first pair in July and liked these so much after training for my first 1/2 marathon that I bought another pair to get me through the winter. I finished 15 minutes sooner than my goal! Thanks New Balance!

I ordered 2 pairs. The blue/white pair hurts the top of my foot. The tongue is thick, long, and the sizing info is on a stiff leather strip which presses on my foot. Yellow doesn't!

These are quite bad, really, and it's a huge disappointment. And since New Balance makes you go through an irritating registration process just to send them basic feedback, I'm opting to list my specific complaints here for all to see instead. First, the lace on the right shoe is considerably longer than the left. It's quite strange and just inspires no confidence. All I can guess is that they had some sort of packaging mixup. Perhaps someone pushed this product to manufacturing too soon. Second, the tongue on the left shoe keeps slipping down, and that becomes quite painful. There appears to be no fix, and I've got the laces looking and feeling just like the right shoe. I've never had this problem with any shoe before. Third, the toe box had changed, not for the better. It's narrower than the 1220 or 1223 models, just a tad too narrow for me. Conversely, the toe box is longer, possibly too long. I'm worried I'll trip on it. And lastly, but critically, the arch

I had tried numerous pairs of Asics and suffered from foot and knee injuries. Since changing to the NB 1224/1225 I have been completely injury free and training for my 3rd marathon this year. Shoes DO make a difference so if these don't work for you keep trying until you find a pair that is perfect for you. I also wear inserts with these shoes and rarely have any hot spots or tender areas when I am done with 20 miles. Great shoes for me.

Not a fan of the NB 1225. Tried them after running in Kayano 15's for the last 8 months. Didn't have enough cushioning in my opinion and felt hot spots at the ball of my foot on 10-15 milers. Took them back and tried the Saucony Hurricane 11's. So far so good. Had to switch shoes due to a lack of ankle support in the Kayano 15's. Also the toe box was much too wide and the shoes felt heavy causing my pace to feel sluggish.

I have worn this series for over 15 years. I was disappointed to find that the new 1225 does not fit my feet because of the change in the last. I have narrow heels, high arch and a wide toes and purchase a D witdth shoe. The same size 1225 D is too wide and too long, and hits my arch in the wrong place.

I bought these shoes and a pair of sacouny hurricanes. These shoes were the winners. I returned the hurricanes. I love these shoes!! They are very light and have great cushioning.

i originally gave this shoe excellent ratings. However after running in them for about one month, these shoes were streamlined so much, it has lost the new balance comfort that someone like me with WIDE feet enjoyed. The toebox is smaller so it hurts my bunion, and the lateral aspects of my feet hurt from the snug feeling around the midpart of the shoe. i am horribly disappointed because i have always loved this series from new balance. and the cushioning wears out very fast...:(

I've been a Nike fan for a really long time so I was reluctant to try something different but I'm so glad I did! I LOVE the New Balance 1225. It provides great stability with every stride. It's cushiony-not hard like some other runninng shoes-and amazingly light. The toe box offers plenty of room and the shoe is extremely flexible. There was no 'breaking in' period. The first day I had them, I comfortably ran 8 miles but I wanted to wait a month before writing a review to ensure I still loved them after the novelty of having something new wore off. I do. These sneakers are amazing!

I absolutely love these shoes, and ordered a second pair. As mentioned, only order one-half size up. I went a full size up, and it is too long. But right out of the box I was able to wear them all day. I haven't been this comfortable with a shoe, in a long time.

I always have worn a 9.5 Narrow in New Balance shoes, and the 9.5 N was perfect in this shoe too. I would not order a full size up, only a half. The fit is great and it is super comfortable. The toe area is flexible and it feels very natural to run in these.

I have always loved New Balance's 1200 series...but with the 1225s new balance has achieved perfection. I LOVE these shoes!!! The cushioning on this shoe is incredible. I just ran 17 miles today and i felt like i was running on air. It says to buy shoe a whole size up, but half a size worked for me. and the toebox is so comfortable for someone with wide feet like me. These shoes are going to feel great when I run my marathon. This is a must have shoe...:)
