Comments about Womens New Balance 890 Running Shoe: I love these shoes. I have a wide foot and a high arch. I also have had plantar faciitis and wear orthotics. I wear these running in the gym and also outside on the bike trail. They are so lightweight that I feel that I am moving faster.

Comments about Womens New Balance 890 Running Shoe: I have a neuroma on my left foot. For 10 years I have worn uncomfortable shoe inserts. With these shoes I do NOT have to use those gawd awful inserts. I can run or walk in these for miles and miles with absolutely no neuroma pain at all. I haven't been able to do that for over 10 years! I did buy the wide width but they don't feel wide at all. I have 2 pair and I'm planning on buying another pair soon. I love these shoes!

Comments about Womens New Balance 890 Running Shoe: I run about 17-28 miles per week and just love these running shoes. I have always been a new balance fan and must say I am thrilled with this product. They are so light and it was a very easy transition into these shoes. Shoe laces must be double tied to stay tied-only negative.

Comments about Womens New Balance 890 Running Shoe: As a large-framed endurance athlete and heavy heel striker, I always thought I needed heavily cushioned, structured shoes. No! These shoes are the best thing that ever happened to me. I love to put them on and run - short, long, in between. I feel amply cushioned and supported, but heel strike and tire much less easily in these sneaks. Hint: A guy at the running store showed me a trick for looping the end of the laces under themselves and then tying - they stay put this way. Or change out the laces to elastic ones? And yes, I bought my "normal" size, not a half-size up as with all other running shoes.

Comments about Womens New Balance 890 Running Shoe: I think these shoes are comfortable but they are not right for me. I love the fact that they are lightweight, but I am a mid/forefoot striker and in my opinion there isn't enough cushioning in the forefoot for that type of foot strike. They are nice to walk around in and look good with jeans though.

Best Uses Comments about Womens New Balance 890 Running Shoe: I have been a New Balance fan for many years and am ready for a new running shoe. I decided to try these for their minimal-ism. I have average size and width feet but these feel narrow for me. I usually wear a size 8 shoe and followed the advice and ordered an 8 1/2. They slip in the ankle area and feel too puffy in the collar area. It feels like they put pressure on the ball of my foot and like they are folding my foot lengthways. So, I will be returning them.

Comments about Womens New Balance 890 Running Shoe: Let me first say that I'm a beginner when it comes to running. Compared to shoes I've used in the past (mostly Asics) these are very lightweight, have very good cushioning (especially in the heel) and allow your feet to breath easily. I think the traction is very good, however, I noticed when standing on wet pavement I could easily slide my foot back and forth. I did not feel any slipping when running though. Overall, very good shoe.

Comments about Womens New Balance 890 Running Shoe: This shoe almost forces you to run faster. The light weight is noticeable at first step. Toe box is sized just right. Not too tight. Not too loose. I have been a runner for over 25 years and this is the first perfect shoe I have found. Must double tie the laces.

Comments about Womens New Balance 890 Running Shoe: I'm amazed at the incredible cushion in this shoe and yet it is so light! I swear I was faster just because the shoe was so much lighter than my old shoes.

Comments about Womens New Balance 890 Running Shoe: The 890's are one of the best shoes I have run in from New Balance. I run 30-35 miles per week and they have been very comfortable and have provided excellent cushioning. The only negative is that they seem to run a little big. I normally run in a 6.5 but my foot was moving around too much so I returned them for a 6 and they are perfect! Also, I have to triple knot them becuase the laces come untied very easily. Aside from those 2 issues, the 890's are great!

Comments about Womens New Balance 890 Running Shoe: I use this for walking & working out at the gym. they are great to carry in my gym bag since they are so light! I also live in NYC, so I walk a lot: this help with that & helps when i am running to catch a bus. I have a black one that's also quite cute. Looks good with jeans.
