Ok I am giving these ...

By runalot

from Undisclosed

Comments about Mens Nike Air Max+ 2009 Running Shoe:

Ok I am giving these shoes one star, but let me also say that I do like the design of this shoe. The problem is that this air max is flawed wear-wise.

I run 60-70 miles/week and I alternated the maxes with vomero 4+ at around 50/50. At 120mi per pair (max/vomero) one of the max's sole was so badly gone that I was running directly on air-bag and the other was getting micron close. The Vomeros are still like new sole-wise.

I have noticed a lot of variation in Nike products lately. The designs are extremely good but the product quality is suffering. Not to point fingers but my guess is that their off-shored manufacturers and suppliers are playing fast and loose with the parts and components. Once Nike is no longer closely monitoring the quality assurance they switch to cheaper lower quality parts but charge the same price.

This same problem occurred with the Vomero line with the 3+ and the early 4+. The air-bag quality was so-bad the shoes bottomed out right out-of-the-box. Earl

By Bill H.

Comments about Mens Nike Air Max+ 2009 Running Shoe:

6'3", 220 lbs. 20-30 miles per week. For some reason these shoes kill the muscles around my ankles. What's more, my heels are very tender after even a moderate run. They look terrific, but I can't run them. I thought they might "break in," but they didn't. Now I'm past the return window, so these are very expensive shoes for grocery shopping and kicking around the house. Incidentally, I live just south of the 46-degree N latitude. Maybe they perform better in warmer climes. Ah, well...

Truly amazing shoe. In the past, found Nike to be overpriced, and found Shox to be hard as rocks and not worth the price. These are an entirely different story. Was amazed the first time i put them on; if you're looking for a cushioned ride, look no further. Can not speak for the running aspect as i dont run, but for everything else i do in and out of the gym, have found them to be the softest shoe i've ever owned. Truly can not fathom going back to any other shoe at this point. Fiancee just bought a pair, she loves them too, and she is a runner.

Comments about Mens Nike Air Max+ 2009 Running Shoe:

So far, so good (granted I've only put 40 miles on them). Has Nike finally created the right mix of cushion, stability, and an air bladder that works for serious training? Time will tell, but in the meantime, I can tell you that as a heavy runner (6'3", 240 lbs) who has been thru Saucony Hurricane 9's, Asics Kinsei's, Nike Air Vomero 3's, and Air Max Moto 5's, I've found the Air Max 2009's to be the real deal. Only downside so far has been the lack of air flow in the mesh (as compared to the others above), the flip-side is that this may actually be the 1st running shoe I've owned that looks as good as it feels. Will report back at the 250 mile mark...won't take long, these babies make you wanna run (and if they are still holding up then, my 4 will become a 5).

Comments about Mens Nike Air Max+ 2009 Running Shoe:

31 years of running. This is a good year for Nike Air Max. 360's were good, but these are better cushioned, seem lighter and more durable as the entire length of the sole is waffle/BRS1000. A little pricey but the insole does not need to be replaced as most shoes do. I will buy another pair before they are gone.

Comments about Mens Nike Air Max+ 2009 Running Shoe:

Best combination of cushioning and support that I have found in Nike's. I have previously worn the Experience+ (not enough forefoot cushioning), the Vomero 3's (lots of cushion, but too soft and not enough support), and the Moto 5 (which has been a great shoe).
I'm 185 pounds and run 3-4 times a week. but only moderate distances. I have high arches and underpronate, and this shoe has been great. In the past, I'd always used insoles, but these seem to feel best without them and straight out of the box.
There is very good cushioning throughout the whole shoe, but with the air soles instead of foam, they are much more stable and feel much, much more responsive than other neutral shoes out there.
Another upgrade over past Air Max 360's is that the rubber sole is sturdier throughout the entire bottom where there used to be some thin layers exposed in past shoes that made them prone to puncturing.
Yes, they don't look like a running shoe, but whether that's a plus or not is up

I normally run in light trainers like a Nike Air Skylon TC or Nike Luna. I wanted a shoe with more cushion for long runs. this shoe blend a tremendous amount of cushion along with the feel and responsifness of a lighter shoe. The shoe is not stiff and has performed well on runs up to 10 miles and I have no complaints at the 250 mile mark on these shoes.

This is an improvement for Nike over recent shoes. The shoe width is perfect for my feet. The forefoot cushioning is just right. The heel cushioning, however, needs to be firmer, and I'd love to see the heel height increased a bit. I had to return the shoe.

This is THE best Nike running shoe made to date. The new Air Max+ 2009 are a new evolution of shoe. Comfortable and cushioned better than ANY other brand. Hands down, this shoes has made every Nike Air before it horribly outdated. Runners with Knee and joint issues, this is your shoe. This is a significant shoe. If $160.00 is out of your price comfort zone...DONT TRY THESE SHOES ON. Just remember I told you so.

Ah, well...

This is an improvement for Nike over recent shoes. The shoe width is perfect for my feet. The forefoot cushioning is just right. The heel cushioning, however, needs to be firmer, and I'd love to see the heel height increased a bit. I had to return the shoe.

This shoe had very good cushioning; however, I wore the heel out in a very short period of time.

I agrred with Donaldson. the shoe is light giving you a smooth ride for a good pace. Even better than the Vomera 3 which is too soft and lack stability. This has the stability and cusion for a good run. I will be buying a second pair of different color.

I can't disagree more with the 1 star review. They are the best Nike running shoes period. Comfortable, light weight, and well made. I'm buying a second pair.

I read the "glowing " reviews on this shoe so I decided to buy a pair. When I put them on they felt more like a"dress" shoe than a "running" shoe. VERY uncomfortable,in my opinion. Returned them the very same day.
