I bought a pair of clearance Peg 27 and a pair of the new Peg 28. Though similar, the 28 is a BIG improvement. The 27 seems like a great long distance and marathon trainer; whereas, the new 28 seems like a great do everything shoe. Ran a steady 5 miles at a 7:30 mile pace and these shoes felt great, awesome cushioning, but too heavy. They don't feel as fast as my Wave Rider 12s or Ghost 2, but they feel good. Also, the ventilation is greatly improved in the 28s. I highly recommend them.

I switched from the Vomero +6 to the Pegasus +28.
Found the Vomero +6 toe box had less support than the Pegasus +28. Also, found that the Vomero +6 was far less durable than the Pegasus +28.
Had ankle issues with the Vomero but when I went to the Pegasus, this issue was no longer a problem.

When I first tried these shoes on, I almost returned them due to a tight toe box. I thought for sure I'd end up with blisters on my big toe.

I gave them a try anyway and have not found the toe box to be a problem at all for me. I previously wore many pairs of Asics Gel Nimbus, but tired of the price and lack of durability. Compared to the Nimbus these shoes are much lighter and more responsive. With the Pegasis, I feel like my foot controls the shoe rather than the other way around. The cushioning is surprisingly good and I have not experienced any back or knee pain since switching to these shoes.

I can't comment on durability yet since I've only put 100 miles on them. However, I can say that after 100 miles there has been no noticeable degradation in performance.

I am a great fan of the 27. So i was very skeptical to the improvement of the 28. I think the 27 is the best for long Distances, the 28 have a better forefoot, but the cushion is softer and not so responsible. The 28 is a very good Allround Shoe with a good Price-Quality-Relation, but i prefer the 27 :)

First Pegasus I've had in 15 years. Light, good fit, better cushioning than I expected. Use them for road running. I run about 700-800mi/year. Haven't had them long enough to determine durability, but after 100 miles they are still in top shape.

Have had a few of the previous models of the Pegasus, and feel this is the best model I've tried. Very comfortable right out of the box - didn't require a break-in period at all. Will be stocking up on this before it disappears.

As I stated so far so great! I'll totally reserve judgement once I log more miles on them but I will say that right out of the box did a 6 mile run with zero issues at all. No breakin needed at all, very comfy the first run. Great shoe.

I am not a fan of Nike but i went on a whim and tried these they were super comfy but felt to small on one foot. RRS told me they had a wide and i bought 3 pairs and i love them!! I am a new mid striker but if i wanna go heel strike the comfort is equally as awesome. i have about 13 mile on them so far and there doing great. i tried running trails inthem and very slipery use caution on slick surfaces!! 185lb 6'1" runner

Very comfortable & responsive though I am a bit concerned with the some-what tight toe box. Have gone no more than 6 miles so far & will be cautious on long runs.

i use to run with asics cululus for some years but this shoe is awsome the best i had ever, cushoning is great, lightweight and good support very good nike.

The shoe is comfortable and has good forefoot cushion. However, I was disappointed in the durability of the upper. My toes wore holes in the tops of the shoes after bout 300 miles. The soles are still in great shape.

Have narrow feet and usually run in various Brooks models. Tried these out from the good reviews. Found them generally uncomfortable...I know it's not very technical, but they just seemed 'ouchy'. I tend to blister on the balls of my feet in some shoes, and these would do the same. They're okay in runs less then 7 miles, but I can feel hot spots due to a roomy toe box from mile 4 to 7. I've run for years and am currently running around 50 mi/week. I'll go back to Brooks Green Silence and Glycerine 8's for my next pair.

Great shoes for as long as they last, they seem to wear out to fast, this is my 4th pair of Pegasus.
I buy NIKE shoes because they fit, I would rather have Brooks or another brand that would last longer.
The reflectorization has been removed from the rear of these shoes, could that have saved so much money for NIKE to sacrifice our safety?

I have been an avid user of the Pegasus 27 for years. I have long narrow feet, and this is one of the few neutral running shoes available in a narrow width.
I was very disappointed when narrow widths were no longer available from Road Runner Sports. After a long search, I found a new source for the narrow width Nike Pegasus 27 - Zappos Shoes. (They don't carry it in the 28 yet.) So for all of you high arch runners with narrow feet, all is not lost.
