I DID experience some plantar fac. issues, but not sure the shoes had anything to do with. Got my half-marathon PR in these shoes! The only problem here, was that the tread actually ran out before the structural integrity of the shoe, I had to replace them sooner than expected. Comments about Womens Nike Air Zoom Percept Running Shoe: These shoes offer GREAT cushion, I am medium sized runner usually averaging 30 miles per week - but after a few miles, I too noticed pain in my right second toe. I even bought them a size larger and still ended up losing my toenail. I have also noticed soreness in my lower back and hips. This pain disappears when I run a couple of days in my older shoes. I am not sure but having read some of the posts here, I am wondering if that heal doesn't have something to do with that. These shoes were recommended by a fairly reputable shoe store. But I wish I had just bought another pair of my old ones. Comments about Womens Nike Air Zoom Percept Running Shoe: I love these shoes. They are my favorite shoe so far. Comments about Womens Nike Air Zoom Percept Running Shoe: After running around 150 miles in these shoes, I recommend them based soley on the cushioning which felt great. The stretchiness of the uppers felt great for about a month and then it became a hassle. The support for ankle was just not there. I did not appreciate the swimming feeling that my feet felt when running. The tread has also died very quickly. Once again though, for any runner with shin and knee problems like myself, this is a very wonderful shoe. I am not going to buy these again. Comments about Womens Nike Air Zoom Percept Running Shoe: Shoe is very supportive and felt great until the next day. My 2nd toe was hurting real bad. Has a lot of inside seams. Ordered up like I was suppose to. Really liked shoe but cannot were because of soreness in my toe. Hope everyone else has good luck. Comments about Womens Nike Air Zoom Percept Running Shoe: did not like it; waste of money Comments about Womens Nike Air Zoom Percept Running Shoe: I'm an overweight runner and this shoe provided excellent cushioning; room for toes and forefoot; good arch support; wish it had a little more stability, but worth investment for beginning runner. Comments about Womens Nike Air Zoom Percept Running Shoe: If I had rated these shoes when I first got them, I would have given them a lower rating because for the first couple of miles it felt like the shoes were working against my feet. Then, after settling into a pace, they felt better; a smooth transition. Now after 20 miles, they're so comfortable and the fit feels like it's conforming to my feet, plus the cushioning is not too firm--outstanding. I don't want to rotate them with any other shoes! Comments about Womens Nike Air Zoom Percept Running Shoe: very happy with these shoes! the cushioning is perfect-thank you Nike! Comments about Womens Nike Air Zoom Percept Running Shoe: I bought these because I thought they would be a high-end cushioned shoe. I do like the cushioning, upper, and the fit, but you have to have unique biomechanics to wear these successfully. After only 20 miles I've noticed outer hip and ITB stress and pain, plus some lateral ankle problems. The bevel immediately throws my heels to the outside and my feet feel like they're fighting to stay upright, mile after mile. Shoes I've worn in the past are the Pegasus, Landreth 2, and Asics 2110. I think these would be great shoes if Nike would fix those heels. Comments about Womens Nike Air Zoom Percept Running Shoe: I just bought these and have only worn them once, but I was so excited I had to let everyone know how great they feel. Yes, the heel is a little beveled, but I had been running in Shox, so I didn't even notice. My run this morning was incredibly smooth, and the cushioning throughout the shoe is superb. Comments about Womens Nike Air Zoom Percept Running Shoe: Underpronators beware!!! I wanted to love these shoes. They were supportive, cushioned (even more than the Pegasus), and at least billed as durable. The lacing system and bunion pad felt great and I could really dial in my fit. But I did notice when I first starting wearing them that my heels rolled outward. I suppose if you pronote, that's a good thing. But I don't, and after about 2 weeks of running in them I developed plantar fasciitis. I went back to the Pegasus and immediately felt improvment. So, if you are a pronator, maybe they'll work. If you underpronate, don't go close to these shoes with a ten-foot pole! Comments about Womens Nike Air Zoom Percept Running Shoe: The cushioning on these shoes is supportive and light. I would compare the fit as slightly longer than the Pegasus '04 (I haven't worn the '05), with a better fitting midfoot and heel, plus a better transition, and the upper is lighter. Comments about Womens Nike Air Zoom Percept Running Shoe: These are supposed to be updates to the Tailwind, but, thankfully, they have little in common. The Percept has a much lighter upper, way better transition, and doesn't feel chunky. The cushioning is very supportive without being stiff/inflexible. I'm glad the Percepts are Bowerman shoes, because I'll definately order them again.
