      I purchased these shoes for trail hiking and they are good for this purpose. They are a little heavy, so I do not anticipate I will be able to run in them. However, they are comfortable for everyday wear. I have only done 1 dusty trail hike in them so far and they were fine. Of course, with the low ankle my socks ended up a little dusty. But, no rocks!

      I normally wear a 9.5 but I ordered a 10 based on other reviews and they fit well. Order as you would a running shoe-about .5-1 size up.

          I bought this shoe as a trail running and light hiking shoe. I liked the feel immediately out of the box & they didn't give me any trouble (no hotspots at all) on my first 7 mile hike with them. There was a small defect in one of the shoes, but Roadrunner was great about replacing them and I've been on a few short trail runs since. I feel very confident in the traction of the shoe, especially in crossing rocky surfaces. The shoes are perhaps a bit more roomy in the box than I would prefer (I normally take a 7.5).

          I'm a primarily recreational runner/hiker that does about 20 miles/week at the gym & outdoors.

            I've worn this shoe to work, on trail runs, and biking. Very comfortable, nice arch support, and lightweight. It seems like it can withstand a lot more than what I've tested it with. Seems really sturdy. At any rate, I'm looking forward to a long relationship with this shoe.

            If color matters: Note it was much greyer than it appeared on my monitor -- not sure if it was the picture or my monitor.
