I always get my Gore jackets from Road Runner because the quality and prices can't be beat. This years model doesn't disappoint and I will continue to buy my outwear from here.

Great jacket for anyone on the East Coast during winter. It's withstood the freezing cold and keeps me dry.

It's so hard to find a good cold weather jacket for running. Not too many options that are water and rain proof. Super functional.

This jacket IS super light weight! I'm glad it's only lined half way otherwise it would be too heavy for my runs.I wear it over my long sleeve base layer top.

Great jacket and even better value. If they still have your size available, I would definitely recommend it. I plan on using this jacket all winter long. It is super light weight and keeps me dry.

This jacket is better if used with a baselayer underneath. Because there isn't lining, the jacket is more lightweight and travels easier. I definitely recommend this unless you plan on wearing a t-shirt underneath.

used a gore-tex fabric that has little bumps on the surface, with the idea that this would somehow allow them to skip the lining and add a few bucks to the profit margin. It still feels like cold, wet rubber on your skin. No armpit vents, no elastic in the wrists or waist, cheap zipper. I returned it. RRS should bring back the old design for this jacket and stop damaging their reputation by making cheaply made, poorly detailed gear like this.

So far, this jacket has done what it's supposed to which is keep me dry. Definitely wish there was a lining but I got it for the waterproof qualities so that's not a deal breaker for me.

In harsh weather this coat (and the pants) do a great job of keeping me dry and comfortable. The seems on the right arm of my coat have worn a bit and are not waterproofed as well as the rest of the coat however, so I often get a damp elbow. The front zipper does stick(catches the inner material) unless I pull the zipper away from my body as I zip it up. That is annoying but not a deal breaker. A thin mess liner to keep the goretex layer off your skin would be a great addition. Many annoying features to this jacket, but if the goal is to keep the weather out while you run it does that very well.

When I received this product I was very diappointed. I have purchased several Gore-Tex coats from you and this is by far the most poorly made. There is no lining and the coat feels and looks cheap. I will not purchase any more Gore-tex coats in the future and now am concerend about the overall decrease in quality.

Great jacket for the price. Usually I'm a size M and bought a L. I wanted a loose fit, so it fits perfect.

Just got a chance to use this jacket along with the matching pant in a torrential downpour. It was FANTASTIC! Been looking for some wet-weather gear for a long time, and this really seems to fit the bill. Moved easily with me, wasn't too noisy. Unlined pants were against bare skin which was a little cold at first, but after warm-up, didn't even notice it. My other comments as listed below still stand, but this is buy if it fits you properly.

Haven't got to try it yet, but out of the box, I like it overall. Does seem to run a bit small; I'm usually on the line between medium and small but am clearly a medium here. Left-hand zipper is weird/annoying, and it does jam on back-side material. But fit is very comfortable. Material seems light enough to wear year round. Can see that it might get clammy, but at least in winter, ez enough to wear long-sleeve shirt underneath; in reality, mesh-lined sleeves are a PAIN to get in an out of. Hood is FANTASTIC with enough rigidity and adjustability to keep it out of eyes. Has visor that actually WORKS. A good hooded jacket can make ALL the difference if you're out for a long time in nasty weather. The iPod pocket is a nice touch, but music combined with hood may be a recipe for trouble. Might hold off 'til next year in hopes they improve shortcomings.

looks like a great jacket. zipper on left side in US usually means womens. But in Europe, men's zippers are on the left side, so possibly made overseas. don't know why sizing would be too small except for again, made overseas.

I've already worn this in rain, snow, heavy wind...and been totally warm. I am 6'1, 200 pounds with big shoulders and the XL fits me fine with a turtleneck underneath. Sometimes it seems a bit too warm and I sweat too much, but when it's 20 degrees and the wind is howling at 6 AM, it's kind of nice to be warm.

Yep, I'm a female reviewing a male jacket. I've always preferred the straight cut instead of the women's "hey lets REALLY focus on my hips by flairing it at the base of the coat". Any hoo...
I LOVE the ipod pocket at the neckline, and the hole to bring the earphones through.. BRILLIANT! You don't even notice it's there when you aren't using it!!! That's a keeper for any upgrades you do on this jacket.
This is my second run in this jacket. For it's VERY BREATHABLE advertisement I find that the arms do tend to sweat but that also depends (the amount of moisture) on what shirt I'm wearing underneight.
I find it hard to hear when wearing the hood, a noisy material but still better then my existing jacket.
I like the fit and comfort. I still rate it a "****".
Would LOVE to find a truly waterproof, windproof, AND 100% BREATHABLE that doesn't sweat inside .. so I'll still be looking .. but for now this will do.
Oh, and a prior review.. "yes, what's w/left side zip"?
