Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Xodus 3.0 Trail Running Shoe: I had been looking for a good 4mm trail running shoe. I found it.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Xodus 3.0 Trail Running Shoe: I bought the Xodus 3.0 for trail running and have put about 75 miles on them over 10 months. They are light and can take a serious beating (I've also machine washed them 2xs). They are amazing up hills (dry, wet, mud), and grab bare rock perfectly. I can go full-out downhill and haven't slipped yet. Recently, I did a 3.2 mile and 8.3 mile obstacle course race that required complete water emersion, and found the only weakness - the soles hold a little too much water. Not a problem for the 3miler, but I noticed the increase in weight after 5 miles during the longer race. If you're staying dry, or staying under 5 miles when wet, it doesn't get better than this shoe.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Xodus 3.0 Trail Running Shoe: Comments: I bought these shoes locally today and they felt so right I immediately broke them in on a 2 hour snowy trail run. These might not be the most minimalist trail shoes out there but they are very flexible, comfortable and have a low (4mm) heel to toe drop. I felt very in control on snow, uneven surfaces, mud, downhills, uphills, rocks and even going up and down long icy wooden staircases. Switched to this from the Asics Sky Speed II...a great shoe, but not suitable for trails. Xodus also has a little place to tuck in your laces and the rock plate felt very effective and flexible when met with the occasional sharply protruding object. Also has a very wide and roomy toebox which is great if you run midfoot/forefoot like I do. GET THIS SHOE!
