Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Hurricane 10 Running Shoe:

Great shoe at a good price. I have 315 miles on my current pair -- they will last until 400 miles I'm sure. They are very breathable too. I'm 5'10' 195lbs and run 30 mpw at 9+ min/mile with some overpronation. I've been running in Hurricanes since the #5 model and like these the best so far, though I haven't yet tried the #11's.

    from Undisclosed

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Hurricane 10 Running Shoe:

I've worn Hurricanes for years ( I like the 9's), but this model didn't work for me. I developed a blister immediately. The ankle support was lacking, and it was painful to run in. After a few tries, I returned them, and will wait for the next model of Hurricanes to come out. I'm 5'8" 180 and run 20+ miles a week.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Hurricane 10 Running Shoe:

I am a guy who weighs 220 lbs; I lift weights, run 30 miles per week, and crosstrain; I work out regularly 6 days a week. This is a great shoe that holds up well to my large frame. It is much more lightweight that similar stability plus shoes, and it does last quite a long time. I run mostly hills and speed work; this shoe is so comfortable, I sometimes forget that I am wearing them.

I would only recommend the use of a stability insert; it makes the ride that much smoother.

There are no cons to this shoe; Saucony got it right with this one.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Hurricane 10 Running Shoe:

Got these at least a half size bigger than normal, but still feel good. This is my third set, so I have very little to complain about. Ok, just one.. it makes a noise when I walk, but I am a big guy, so its probably me. I do about 5-10 miles a week running, with more walking, eliptical, and biking in between. So if they can last with me, I know they are good.

Asics make a great running shoe hands down. I have been running with the Nike Air Haywood's/Zoom for a while now and it was time for a change. I just ran 10k and the shoes were awesome. Thank you "Shoe Dog"!!!

I've also run in Hurricanes for a long time, since the early 1990s. I loved the 9s best of all although the others before it were pretty to very good as well. The 10s just didn't seem to have the support and cushioning, as if the midsole wasn't there. i wondered if Saucony was going with a barefoot philosophy, which I sure don't want. My feet finally started hurting so much I had to shop for a new pair, after about half the period I usually run in Hurricanes. Bad news for Saucony...I won;t buy th 11s since thew shoe store owner says the 11s are a lot like the 10s. I went with the Omni 8. Feels a lot like the 9s. We'll see. It's only been three days. Saucony blew it with the 10s. I'll probably never go back to the Hurricanes.

I wish I could give these shoes a higher mark but they simply wore out way to fast, espescially for how much they cost. I don't put a lot of miles on my shoes may be only 10-15 miles per week, and they were done after about 10-12 weeks. I have to say that my last two par of shoes, (both Nikes by the way) out lasted these by a long shot. I wanted to try these because my wife loves them, the previous versions got great reviews, and Sacony doesn't kill off models like Nike does. It seams when ever I find a Nike I realy like they get rid of it. I guess I am going back to Nike.
Other reasons I only gave them a 1 Star is they didn't feel like they had enough fore foot support for me, although I think they did. Once I got used to them, (only took about 3 miles) they felt great. Even though they felt good it was still a little disconcerning that every time I put them on I wasn't sure if I had them tight enough.
One thing I did like was they were light weight and looked good but onl

Great shoe at a good price. I have 315 miles on my current pair -- they will last until 400 miles I'm sure. They are very breathable too. I'm 5'10' 195lbs and run 30 mpw at 9+ min/mile with some overpronation. I've been running in Hurricanes since the #5 model and like these the best so far, though I haven't yet tried the #11's.

I am 6'4", 225 pounds. I am on my second pair of Hurricanes. The first was a version 9, the next version 10. On both pair the right inside heel went flat and buckled. I bought the shoes to give me stability at this point on my foot. They simply did not last as long as I would have expected. I will say the fit was great and I was able to wear these shoes out of the box with no break in problems.

Extremely comfortable-particularly in the heel and the right degree of softness. I'm 6'5", 245 and these shoes hold up really well.

I have the same problems as others. I am a huge fan of the Hurrican series. I always buy Hurricanes. This is a great shoe, everything seems to be improved from the previous model. The problem is longevitiy of the shoe. I too went about 200 miles and the heal has almost completely worn out. Total bummer because the feel of the shoe is so great.

I have been running in Hurricanes for several years. I loved the 8s but hated the 9s. I had hoped the 10s would have some redeeming qualities. After I bought the shoes, I read some reviews and saw that many people had a problem with the shoes going flat very quickly. I had hoped the my pair would not suffer such a fate. At 100 miles, a portion of my right heel went flat. I continued to run, hoping it was my imagination. By 200 miles, the entire heel went flat, making my right heel feel as if I was stepping in a hole. The drop in the heel of this shoe caused me to have knee, quad and hip pain. With only 220 miles on my new $130 shoes, I scrapped them and I went out and bought another pair of shoes, other than Sauconys. I had enough. With the new shoes on, my leg pain immediately decreased and then disappeared all together. To me, this proved that the shoes caused my entire problem. I used to love the Hurricane series, but not anymore.

I'm only 110 miles into these so can't speak for durability, but I'm very happy so far. Great cushioning but not too mushy like Adistar Control or Equalon+2. No pinch points of any kind, plenty of room in the toebox, great arch support, and a snug fit...especially in the heel. They're very flexible and responsive, and also quite light. As long as these last a couple hundred more miles I'll be very happy with them.

I over pronate but this shoe handles it very well. Arch is supportive, width is good. The tread seems to wear a little quick on outside heel, but overall I love this shoe.

I did not give it five stars because I am still in love with an Adidas shoe that I had about 7 years ago.

Even with orthotics, this shoe is missing the conrol/stability the 9 offered. The motion of my feet in this shoe was so extreme, I was concerned about injury. I loved the 9 and even wore a pair fresh out of the box during last years Houston Marathon. I am going to have to buy up all the 9's I can find and try a new shoe.

I have been running in Hurricanes for about 10 years. I run 50+ a week and have tried a multitude of other S+ shoes by the gambit of vendors. I can wear this shoe right out of the box with no breaking in problems and usually get around 300-350 miles per pair. I noticed other runners complained about the lifespan. I do live in a particularly dry environment (Eastern WA) so that may account for the lack of problems in that area. I love this shoe.

I have been running in some form of Saucony for 25+ years and it is the only shoe I can wear "right out of the box". Hurricane 10 is expensive but ok if it lasts which it doesn't. I tend to buy shoes 2 pair at a time so I can change off. I have barely got 200 miles on them and the outside of the shoes are worn to the mid-sole. Never had a shoe which wore down so quickly. Please fix it!

Stability shoes are supposed to compensate for pronation. For me, if I pronate, I develop chondromalcia. Within 2-3 runs wearing these shoes, my knees were killing me. I tried my rarely-used orthotics - still more pain. These shoes are too soft to be described as a "stability" shoe. There is no responsiveness, my feet slide around in the too-light uppers, and they hurt my knees. And...they are GD expensive.

When I found the Hurricane IX I was ecstatic. They were the perfect combination of stiffness and cushioning. I'm fairly flat footed, 170LBS, 5' 10". I was running 30-40 miles a week in the IX on pavement with no injuries or strains. The X is a totally different shoe. It is EXTREMELY flexible and, I found, has little arch/ankle support. I ran one day in them and they actually scared me. I've returned them and I'm buying up every last pair of IX's I can get my hands on.

I wear down the outside heels of my shoes which seems to make me an outward (under) pronater. The ProGrid Hurricane 8's worked great for me, providing excellent cushioning and support. When I went to reorder, though, I discovered they had been discontinued and I was stuck with the Hurricane 10 which turned out to be a disaster. Within 4 weeks, I had a flare-up of plantar fasciitis which cleared up once I stopped wearing this shoe. I felt like my ankles were turning over (outward)in this shoe. Also, the laces are very thin and cheezy. When laced snugly, the uppers of the shoe in the area of the laces cut into the top of my foot, something I have never had happen with any Saucony shoe prior to this. After 15 years of loyalty to Saucony (my favorite was the Jazz 3000), I am now trying a Nike model.
