Arch Type Tip
Wet Foot Test
Wet the bottom of your bare foot and stand on a brown paper bag for several seconds. Then match your paw print to one of these images in the arch type box.
Finger Test
While standing, bend over and slide your index finger under your foot's arch. If your finger slides in up to 1/2 inch, you have a low arch. If 1/2 inch to 1
inch, you have a medium arch. If more than 1 inch, you have a high arch.
Still not sure? Select Medium arch. Nearly 70% of runners have medium arches.
Foot Mechanics Tip
Have someone stand behind you to look at your bare feet and ankles as you walk forward.
Your feet will either 1) be rigid and roll inward or outward minimally,
2) be semi-flexible and roll inward moderately, or 3) be very flexible and roll inward excessively.
Still not sure? Select Moderate roll if you are unsure of your foot mechanics. Nearly 70% of runners have feet that roll inward moderately.
