Best Uses
After being sorely disappointed by Hokas, I tried the Altra Olympus and was blown away at the difference a foot shaped design could make. I've been a fan of the Altra Lone Peak for years, but wanted something with maximum cushion for loooong runs on pavement and fire roads...and the Olympus delivered! Having space in the toe box for my digits to splay naturally is something you have to experience to believe, and while the zero drop aspect might take getting used to for some folks, I find it liberating!

Perfect trail running shoe! Especially great for a high volume of training and ultra-marathons where the feet and legs can use the extra cushion and comfort. Highly recommend this shoe!

These are far and away the most confortable shoes I've ever ran in. The wide toe box is spectacular, and the zero drop helps promote a nice, natural running form. I used to have all sorts of blister and foot problems before, but not anymore!

I have worn these shoes for over 6 months. I have two pair. One to do my long runs in and one to workout and train others in! Yesterday I was on my feet all day in these shoes! Cons Best Uses
I use the Altra Olympus 1.5 as my daily trainer as I'm building up for a 100 miler in June. I love the feel of the shoes as I transition through my stride. They offer plenty of protection for big weekly miles and day-long runs. The tread is great for trail running and the sticky rubber works really well on the wet and slimy rocks I encounter daily in the pacific northwest. The foot shaped toe box keeps my feet comfy and happy on all-day runs. This shoe is a winner.
