Cons Best Uses
Size 12.5's (I size and normally wear a 12) arrived on Monday and were on the trail Tuesday morning for a short 5K-ish romp on fire roads and single track. On Thursday they were on a mixed road - sand - hiking trail - road loop, closer to 10K, my normal fun milage. I'm afraid to say the following for fear of the dreaded jinx: the shoes are pretty darn perfect. I run without socks- no problem, sans a little blister on back, right, ankle probably due to needed lacing tweak. No other hot spots or rubbing. Grip is phenomenal, in a totally different league than my INOv-8 Rocklites (a shoe I still love) especially when the overall weight reduction is considered. The Minimus are light, super light. In fact, I've been training in a pair of running sandals recently, but find the Minimus to be comparable in overall 'free' feel without sacrificing any protection. My gut tells me that these are best for someone already used to a barefoot style. There's not much to them. But, there's enough, just enough, to make them protective, grippy, fast and fun.
Pros Cons Best Uses I had the previous version. Highly recommended trail running shoe. For sizing: I wear size 10 1/2 work boots, size 11 reebok Nanos, 11 1/2 Asics Kayanos. I wear size 11 in this shoe.
