Cons Best Uses
So, after deviating in feel from the original with two uninspired and questionable versions, Brooks finally gives us back a high arched version in the Connect 4 that provides better cushioning, and likely durability, than the original. Great for forefoot/midfoot strikers. The cushioned tongue makes for a more comfortable wrap, although it could be stitched up part way to hold it in place, as there is some movement. The lacing is more conventional but works perfectly fine when the second to last holes are skipped and the runners lace looping is employed. The extra cushioning and overall comfort is worth the very slight increase in weight. Easy for a long run right out of the box. 4.5/5.0
