I had to return them for a half size smaller than the previous models that I own. I usually size up from a 7.5 to an 8 in Asics, but with this model, looks like I'll be a 7.5. Pros
Cons Best Uses I am a loyal Asic Cumulus fan for 10 years. I have medium-high arches and need a shoe designed for my type of foot. I was excited about the various color options. Currently, I am a low mileage runner. I have never worn down the tread on my Culumuses ever - even when I was training for marathons. The tread on these shoes wore down on the forefoot within 2 months of light wear. The tread is now completely smooth. Very disappointed. Going to try out the Brooks Ghost.

The Asics Gel Cumulus is my running shoe model since 15. I love the 15 model, and had been a little let down with 16. When it came time to replace my several pairs of 16's I actually tried some other brands and models, and ended up returning them, then the 17's came out and I decided to give them a try. Wow! I love these 17's! I am training for the Chicago Marathon this Fall, and so log between 30-40 miles per week and these shoes are amazing!

this shoe is amazing! i use it for high mileage running and it works great! it has a good amount of cushioning, has an amazing fit, and can perform the way you want! its way better than last years model!
Pros Cons Best Uses I have been wearing Asics shoes since the very first one in 1998! I loved the 15s - 16s not so much...but the 17s are giving me relief from a stubborn right leg injury! Love this shoe! Just the right amount of flex, fit, and cushion! Love the colors too! I would def tell others to buy, buy, buy it! thank you Asics!

Best Uses Good looking shoe, but very tight across the top of the toe area with added leather strips. From running in the wrong shoes for several years, I have slight bunions on the top of my toe joint areas...worse on the right than the left. However, this shoe rubbed a horrible blister on the top of the left toe joint/knuckle because the toe box was so constricting even though I tried to make it as loose as possible. The added leather strip in this area causes the shoe not to give.
