These shoes are amazing! They're so comfortable, supportive, and enjoyable to wear! The only reason they don't have 5 stars on my review is due to them only lasting about one Cross Country season; but to be fair, they went through heavy use and still held together well! The felt around the opening of the shoe tore a bit, but it didn't effect the wearing of the shoes whatsoever. After half a year of heavy use, I can still run in them with no problems!

I run over 20+ a week. I am an overpronator with weak ankles from soccer injuries, a neutral/medium arch and have chronic foot pain from a nerve disease. These shoes make my feet feel great while I run. Keeps my ankles in place, controls my overpronation and are super comfy. I am an Asics girl that has now been brought over to New Balance. I interchange these shoes with the Asics Kayano & the Brooks Adrenaline GTS. These win by a hair over the Kayanos. Why just a hair? Because these are quit heavy. Understandably so with the cushion and the stability control.

I'm a marathon runner 5'9 140 lbs. I've been a loyal Asics Gel Kayano customer for a long time until I started having problems with plantar fasciitis this spring. Not all the Asics fault, I'm sure. I had the opportunity to visit the store in Concord, Ca recently (thanks Walt!) and tried on different brands. These felt and fit great. I wear a 9 in Asics, and I wear a 9 in New Balance. The shoe hugs my foot more comfortably and snugly than the Kayanos. The foot guidance is wonderful in these shoes, especially on push off. It almost makes you push off on your big toe, as my PT advises me to do. Its not as cushy as the Kayano, but my feet felt better after a run . The only downside I found with the shoe is traction on wet surfaces. So I'll give it 4 instead of 5 stars. But I just ordered another pair and am looking forward to increasing my distance on my long runs soon.
