Comments about Mens Brooks PureGrit 4 Trail Running Shoe:
Absolutely NO Complaints about these trail shoes. Out of the box, right to a 50 miles ultra on an unimproved rails to trails course. Shoes gripped well in mud, sand, gravel, and rock surfaces. With sections of 2-4" gravel, other shoes have turned my feet to hamburger, but with PureGrit 4's rock plate my feet were fine. Toes also were protected from an occasionally kicking large gravel. Because of high temps and humidity my shoes and socks were wet, and should have changed them at the 25 mile mid-point but continued the 2nd loop, with a lot of walking, and still no issues. I was very impressed with the PureGrit 4, and recommend them as a solid trail shoe.
