I just got this watch and have used it on about 6 runs and the HRM is very accurate! At times, the pace does jump around a bit, but I have found this with my other garmin too. The display is very easy to read and is customizable. I love the wrist HRM compared to the strap!! Very comfortable to wear and I have very tiny wrists (strap is adjustable to fit anyone). Have not used it as an activity tracker yet, but for running, this watch is a must have!
Pros Cons Best Uses I was so excited to use this as I have the 220 and have been unable to wear the HRM strap from irritation. When I received this, I immediately set it up put it on and jumped on the my treadmill for a 4mi run to test it out! I hate the treadmill and prefer outdoor runs but this is supposed to keep distance indoors...wrong :( I ran 4 mi and the watch said .41 so of course everything was off. Also, the heart rate calculation was all over the place....175-123-139 the whole time. I understand there are fluctuations but I have been a runner for years and I was not even running at a 10min/mi pace so 175 was not warranted and if it was I would have felt it. It did keep accurate heart rate when I was standing still but not what I am interested in. It did seem to count my foot steps too. Unfortunately, I purchased this specifically for the HRM and distance recording from the embedded foot pod and it definitely fell short :( :(
