Comments about Womens Brooks Transcend 3 Running Shoe:

This is my first Brooks shoe. Tried the brand on the recommendation of 2 friends. Chose this particular model, Transcend 3, after visiting Brooks website and getting their recommendation based on the info I entered in their shoe finder. I really want to like this shoe, but I don't think it's going to work for me. My first 3.5 mile run left redness and blisters at the fronts of both ankles. I tried another run of 3 miles a few days later, tying the shoes with a method to reduce the likelihood of blisters, and they still rubbed the fronts of my ankles. I'm debating a taller sock, but I doubt it will make much difference. I'm very grateful for the 90 day trial period.

Comments about Womens Brooks Transcend 3 Running Shoe:

I have ordered this shoe twice since they were released. The first pair that I wore (and still have) broke down at less than 200 miles. Further the material wore off around the top shoelace eyelet of one of the shoes after just a handful of runs. I've never experienced that problem before on any other brand of shoes. Despite what appeared to be poor quality shoes for Brooks (as far as the material and wear goes), I focused on my form and tried to make sure that I wasn't the reason the shoes were wearing quicker than any other pair I have ever had. I loved the fit and the initial cushion (before breakdown) was great. I WANTED like them. So, I ordered another pair. The second pair that I ordered wore the material off around the top shoelace eyelet (on the opposite shoe as the first pair) after 2 runs. After about 60 miles, I can already feel the shoe breaking down. Despite the fit and the desire to want to like these shoes, I am very disappointed in the quality material and construction (longevity/mileage) that I am able to get out of these shoes. I run approx 20-35mi per week, depending on the week, and I need a shoe that will get more than 150-200 miles before they are totally broke down.

Thank you for the generous 90 day exchange policy!

Comments about Womens Brooks Transcend 3 Running Shoe:

My first run with these shoes was just three miles and the tongues chafed the fronts of my ankles. My next run was 10+ miles and I wore socks that came up higher on my ankles. After the run, I had 1/2 " diameter blisters on the outsides of both big toes. I decided to give the shoes a few more chances. On two following runs of 10+ miles, I developed blisters in the same spots. My feet are not of unusual shape or size. I wear high quality running socks. I am returning the Transcend shoes to exchange them for Brooks Glycerin, which has been my go-to shoe for the past few years. I will stick with Glycerin. I appreciate very much the 90 day exchange policy!

I'm super excited about this shoe. I took a chance buying these for the first time switched from a different brand. I wasn't happy anymore after years of other brand and needed to find a new running shoe and I got very lucky! Looking to buy a second pair of the same!

Comments about Womens Brooks Transcend 3 Running Shoe:

Due to extreme pronation, multiple injuries from 15 marathons, and arthritis in toe joints, I have worn Brooks Ariel for the last 15 years. This is the first time I've worn Brooks Transcend, and I am quite impressed with the comfort. The wide toe box and less elevation between the forefront and heel are clearly the reasons for the improved comfort over the Ariel.

Comments about Womens Brooks Transcend 3 Running Shoe:

I have bunions on both feet, my left is the one that causes me pain. I also have predislocation syndrome on the same foot (second toe). This is caused by my bunion. I have pain where the ball joint is under my second toe. I have orthotics that I used in my Glycerins (which I love btw) because the Glycerins are soft on the sole. If you have these sort of foot issues, the Transcend 3 is for you. I have the first and second generation Transcends. All great shoes, but the improvements with the 3 make this THE shoe for me. It has a firm sole, I don't need my orthotic. The toe box is wide, nice and roomy for the bunions. They are are seemless, the side of my foot with the bunion is free to expand. If you have bunions you know the pain the seems can cause. I have put many miles on these shoes in my short time owning them. They are the only ones I use to run long distances in (6+ miles). I train in these shoes and have run a few races in them, including a half marathon. This shoe also has a new side-rail on the sole of the shoe. I don't know what its called... If your foot and ankle wants to go anywhere besides where it's supposed to be, this sole keeps your foot firmly planted on the ground for good balance. There are lighter shoes on the market but I don't find this shoe to weigh me down. If anything they have made me faster because they keep me balanced, my foot squarely planted and I have no pain from my bunion or second toe. I love these shoes. I can't imagine what more they could do with this shoe when the newer version comes out. The only downside to this shoe is the colors. I wish they came out with better colors. The mens shoes always come in great vibrant colors! There is a new pink coming out which I will get. Reds, Cobalt blue, etc. would be great! Come on Brooks! Up your ladies color game!

Comments about Womens Brooks Transcend 3 Running Shoe:

I have been wearing Brooks shoes for years. I started out with the Adrenaline, then switched to the Ghost, once I got custom orthotics, then the Glyercin, which are my favorite. I have been recently having pain in my foot and podiatrist suggested, I get rid of the custom orthotics and got back to a stability shoe with just an arch support. So I decided to switch to the Transcend. I decide to break these in slowly due to the issues I had with my fees. The first run 3 miles, then 4.5, another 5miles and this past weekend I ran a 10K. By mile 5 I wanted to rip them off my feet. The shoe itself fits great and has great cushion (not as much cushion as the Glycerin), but the tongue of the shoe started to dig into the front of my ankle (and I have skinny ankles). It's not a smooth round tongue, its sort of curvy. And the curvy parts are really stiff and left a red mark on one ankle and actually drew blood on the other. Not sure if its just a fluke, but they have to go back. No way I can run anymore than 5 miles in them without drawing blood.

I have never tried stability shoes before and I thought I would give them a try since I do overpronate. These had excellent reviews so I wanted to try them. Loved the colors and looks of them. They were just too heavy and clunky for my feet. I'm only 5'0 and small build so I just think these were just too heavy for me.
