Comments about Epson Runsense SF-810 GPS + Wrist Heart Rate Running Watch Monitors:

I received this product in advance from Epson, in exchange for my impartial review. I am an elite runner who relies heavily on data to monitor my training/recovery and make the correct decisions day in and day out. My coach is not by my side so while training I have to be my own coach. The SF-810 helps ease the process I can monitor the distance I cover and how fast. I can nail my sessions as prescribed. This watch has a built in heart rate monitor, something not so common. I can sleep w it and check my heart rate when I wake up making a better decision on how much rest I may still need. Some days I worry about pace and this watch has me covered the true recovery day when I rely on heart rate this watch also has me covered w out any uncomfortable gimmicks to hold me back in training. I highly recommend it!

Great GPS Watch for every level runner

Comments about Epson Runsense SF-810 GPS + Wrist Heart Rate Running Watch Monitors:

I received this product in advance from Epson, in exchange for my impartial review and I love it. This watch does it all! The screens are customizable and there are many different things to choose from: heart rate, pace, altitude, stride length, calories, and ascent/decent. This is perfect for normal runs and workouts. It charges quickly and keeps its charge for about 5 days. There are other features of the watch that I haven't even touched yet but look forward to using like the target pace function and target heart rate. The watch doesn't require a band or strap to measure heart rate which is great because I used to forget the strap for my Garmin all the time. I've used all kinds of Gps watches from Nike and Garmin but the Epson SF-810 is by far the most accurate with displace as accurate as one-thousands of a mile (0.000). It also stores the data on the watch and allows for easy recall.

Comments about Epson Runsense SF-810 GPS + Wrist Heart Rate Running Watch Monitors:

I received this product in advance from Epson, in exchange for my partial review. To be honest, this is one of the most accurate GPS watches on the market. I have had many different types of GPS watches, such as Garmin or Tom Tom, but this one is far superior to any other watch I have tried. It is great for either a recovery day or a workout. The watch has a built in lap split for every mile and gives you to the thousandth in the distance you have covered. It really has all the information that you could really ever ask for, even a heart rate monitor built right into the wrist. Much more comfortable than wearing the strap around your chest. I absolutely love this watch and would highly recommend to anyone this holiday season.

Comments about Epson Runsense SF-810 GPS + Wrist Heart Rate Running Watch Monitors:

I received this product in advance from Epson, in exchange for my impartial review. I'm an elite athlete and I train in the mountains of San Bernadino at 6754ft altitude in Big Bear Lake. I run about 70 miles per week. I loved that the Runsense SF-810 from Epson doesn't use a chest strap to get your heart rate. I can now monitor my heart rate at all times during my workout. My coach is very concerned with my heart rate during the interval and while resting and now I it's always displayed at the wrist. The SF-810 makes it so easy to determine my heart rate and it's very accurate. I can't believe how advanced technology is now. I would have loved to have the Epson Runsense SF-810 when I competed in college and I was training on my own during the long summer months. This GPS watch is like a coach is always with me! I hated training on my own but with all the features the SF-810 has its like I'm never training allow anymore. The battery life is amazing! When I go on trips for the weekend I don't need to worry about taking the battery charger because I know I have 20 hours of battery life. When I first turn on the SF-810 it doesn't take a long time to get a signal. I turn it on and it's almost immediately ready for my run. I highly recommend this watch to any runner trying to gain an advantage on his competitor.

Comments about Epson Runsense SF-810 GPS + Wrist Heart Rate Running Watch Monitors:

I love this watch. But before I dive into why you should know:
    1) I received this product in advance from Epson, in exchange for my impartial review.
    2) I'm a professional runner that logs between 90 and 120 miles a week.
    3) I did not use the app so I won't comment on that.

I've been using GPS running watches for as long as I can remember. I have used all types of brands and typically have several GPS watches rolling around my house at once. In fact, when I received this watch from Epson I already was using three different GPS watches throughout my weekly workouts.

But now, no joke, the Epson is the only watch I use. Here is why -

    PROS (in no particular order):

    - The watch band is really flexible and fits around my skinny wrists (this is sometimes a problem with other brands).

    - the battery life is unreal. for real. its unreal.

    - the battery charger works so well and is easy to connect. I have had trouble with other GPS watches - I think my watch is charging and then in the morning i find it is juiceless.

    - In the past I never used a heart rate monitor because I don't like to have a strap around my chest when I run. This watch doesn't require that. So the fact that I can get my heart rate straight from the watch without extra gadgets is awesome. (though sometimes it losses signal - but since I don't really use the hr I don't get too concerned)

    - the GPS is accurate (as far as I can tell anyway)

    - the watch is super light weight

    I love this watch!

I received this product in advance from Epson, in exchange for my impartial review and boy this watch surpass all the watches I have used in my entire running career. It's accuracy is incredible. I have run mostly on a bike path that have the miles mark on it. The first thing I did when I received this watch was to take it on a run test. I run an out and back 5 miles and man it clocked 10 mile exactly when I arrive at the point I started.

I love the fact that it has a built in Heart Rate monitor so I no longer have to wear a strap around my chest. Comments about Epson Runsense SF-810 GPS + Wrist Heart Rate Running Watch Monitors:

I'm a professional runner and have been using he Epson Runsense SF-810 GPS watch for about 4 weeks now. I received this product in advance from Epson, in exchange for my impartial review. So far, I'm loving it! The GPS finds satellites soooo much more quickly than my old Garmin which means I no longer have to stand outside (sometimes in the cold) waiting minutes for the GPS to synch. It's also really accurate. It's better at staying accurate while navigating turns and circle loops so you can trust the GPS, even when you're not running point-to-point. I also really like that the watch is lighter and slimmer - I'm a small gal so it's nice to not have something so bulky on my wrist. Finally, the heart rate feature is really nice. It's a great way to compare your heart rate to pace - especially for heart rate/threshold training - without having to wear the heart rate band monitor around your chest. Definitely recommended for runners!

I have been really impressed with the watch's battery life and accuracy. I have been using it in everyday training for 2 weeks, and I have only charged it once. My only complaint is that it sometimes loses my heart rate during the run.

I would recommend this watch to all of my running buddies.

I received this product in advance from Epson, in exchange for my impartial review. All in all, good watch. The controls aren't super intuitive but the owners manual is very clear. I don't know how accurate the heart rate monitor is, it seemed to differ greatly from data from other heart rate monitors but the GPS is spot on and all the other measures I was interested in like pace were accurate.

Comments about Epson Runsense SF-810 GPS + Wrist Heart Rate Running Watch Monitors:

Firstly, I should note I received this product in advance from Epson, in exchange for my impartial review.

My first impression is the watch is easy to pull straight out the packaging, charge, and use. It took a little more time to locate satellites the first time around, but afterwards it's been quick and on the spot when I head out the door for a run.

Given the fact that I had been a pretty consistent Garmin-wearer prior to trying the Epson, it took me a little while to re-train my brain about "which button does what", how to toggle though screens, etc.

What I like about this the most is the heart rate in the wrist function, and the accuracy of both the heart rate and distance/pace data. Getting real-time, accurate data without having to wear a heart rate chest strap is the best.

            Excellent RUNNING watch.

            from Orange County, CA

Comments about Epson Runsense SF-810 GPS + Wrist Heart Rate Running Watch Monitors:

Before I get started, I'd like to note a few things:
            1) I received this product in advance from Epson, in exchange for my impartial review.
            2) I'm a recreational runner. I usually log 15 - 20 miles per week.
            3) I've been using GPS running watches for about 12 years. My first was a Timex that required a large armband/GPS transmitter wirelessly linked to the watch. For the last 5+ years I've been using a Garmin Forerunner 305. So those – plus a few reviews I've read – are my basis for comparison.
            4) I did not use the app so I won't comment on that. I really like data but I'm not a crazy data junkie when it comes to running. I like seeing what I'm doing real-time vs. how I'm feeling, and then looking at the summary and averages at the end. After that, I move on.

I was fortunate to get my hands on this watch in advance from Epson. It's a very good RUNNING watch... I stress running because that's where it's best. It can be used for multiple sports (having the ability to change displays from sport to sport), but I didn't like it for multi-sport (more on that later). I really enjoyed it for running.

            PROS:
There are a number of great features. So in no particular order:

Heart Rate on the wrist - I love this! It's more common these days on higher end fitness watches but eliminating the chest strap is huge. So much more comfortable running without the strap. The HR would read too high or too low now and then during a run but quickly got back on track. Overall I found the HR to be fairly accurate (at least accurate and consistent enough for me and my purposes). Side-by-side with my Forerunner 305, I'd say the chest strap on the 305 is more accurate but I'd rather ditch the strap and go with the Epson.

GPS - The GPS is accurate (as you'd expect it to be). The satellite acquisition time is fast (significantly faster than the 305) and I can be walking when it looks for the satellites. I have to stand still – sometimes for a full minute or so – for my 305 to latch on to the satellites.

Stride Length and Cadence - This readout/feature alone has made me a better runner. I've read about the economies of running... shorter strides, faster cadence, let gravity work for you… and this watch gives you the real-time info to improve in those areas. I've focused on speeding up my cadence while keeping my HR level. As a result, my overall pace increased at the same exertion level... REALLY cool!

Customization - The display/readouts can be customized with so many types of data that there are almost too many options. But as a runner, I know what I want to see, so I set up three screens that tell me what I want to know.

Tap Screen to Change Display - This is a pro and a con. When running, this option is really cool. Simply tap the screen to change the display/readouts. I got hooked on it. The problem is with multi-sport. When I went on a mountain bike ride and didn't turn off the tap-screen feature, the display kept changing because of the vibration and jolting at my hands. I had to stop and turn off the feature because it was pretty distracting.

Backlight - Seems like a "well, duh!" feature, but it's not. The back light is perfect. It's an even glow and shows everything clearly for plenty of time. Great for running at night.

Battery Life - the battery life is good so I'm making it a pro. The watch goes a few days (including a few runs) without needing a charge. Even so, I make it a point of charging the watch every couple of days.

Size/Design/Look - I'm a simple guy and this is a simple looking watch. It's as small as a normal sport watch (by comparison, it makes the 305 feel massive). The buttons are big enough and easy to press while running. It doubles as an everyday watch until you enable the GPS feature. So now I always have my running watch on me... and sometimes I find myself enabling the GPS and HR when I didn't plan on it (i.e. walking around Disneyland). I can't do that with my 305 because I only wear it when I'm exercising.
Durability - I admit I haven't punished this watch. And I've kept it out of water. But it's been saturated in sweat, out in the hot sun, and in the rain. It seems durable to me.

            CONS:

Multi-sport – I just didn't like the switching to other sports. Maybe I did something wrong, but after I switched to cycling I then had to re-customize my display readouts. Or maybe this has been improved on newer versions. Also, my left-hand cycling glove would sometimes press the right-side buttons when my wrist was at flexed back. To me, this falls in the category of "you can't have it all". I like the large, easy-to-press buttons while running but they're a minor negative while cycling.

When the Battery Dies – When then battery dies, you have to re-confirm your personal setup (age, height, weight, etc) after you recharge it. Again, maybe this is fixed in newer versions of the watch. It's not a big deal, just seems a bit odd to me.

Readouts - Readouts are smaller than my 305. But then, the overall watch is smaller and the smaller readouts come with the territory. And the smaller size of the watch is one of my pros.

Overall, this is my new go-to. I use it as my everyday watch and it's a fantastic running watch. Great job Epson. I recommend it.

Comments about Epson Runsense SF-810 GPS + Wrist Heart Rate Running Watch Monitors:

I received this product in advance from Epson, in exchange for my impartial review. I have been using it for a couple of months now, and I must say it is very impressive. After using other GPS watches, I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly the SF-810 could locate the satellites and the accuracy of it as well. It's pretty straight forward to use, but if you spend a bit of time you can really customize the settings on it. After playing around with these settings I could adjust the screen according to my own personal preferences. After my run, I can review the data on my watch, on the computer, or through the App. I highly recommend and will continue using this as my go to watch on both my every day runs as well as workouts.

              Experience:
I received this watch in late October and have had one month to test its capabilities. It is hard to find a sports watch with the amount of features and data tracking as the Epson SF-810 GPS Watch. Being able to use the GPS feature and Heart Rate Monitor to track how hard I was working out throughout my run was fantastic. The GPS is more accurate than other sports watches I have dealt with in the past (tested on previously measured runs) and the heart rate monitor is a valuable accessory to have when working out. Epson is one of the first companies I have seen come out with a wrist HR monitor instead of a chest strap; the wrist is much more comfortable. Only difficulty with the HR monitor was when doing intense running and it had trouble measuring. I tightened the strap up more and it started working much better, so make sure its more than snug on the wrist. The design of the watch is perfect for all day use. The sleek design makes the watch fit in to any business attire allowing the user to wear it anywhere from the gym to the office. The battery will also last you through the whole day, so you won't ever have to worry about getting a mid-day charge. The set-up for the watch was straight forward and easy to follow through the user guide.

              Conclusion:
If you are a data junky, then you are going to love this watch. It will allow you to see every aspect of your run and help you track your progress in more ways than you could think of and more accurately than you have been able to. From HR, to pace, to altitude changes, you will be able to see it all. I recommend the all black version for a versatile watch that can be worn in the office, but if you're into some flash go for the violet highlights version. Perfect gift for anyone looking to get fit and track their fitness this Holiday season.

I have been using the Epson Runsense sr-810 gps for a couple of months now. After using many different gps watches over the years I find this watch very easy to use in comparison.
I really hate the chafing that comes with heart rate monitors and this watch without the chest strap makes chafing a thing of the past.
I like the vibration on my wrist that i set to go off every mile so I can easily check my pace when doing hard tempo runs.
The gps seems accurate which is very important when measuring efforts.
The watch does not feel large and clunky on my small wrists which is always a bonus with Gps watches!

              Great Product

As an overall product I really enjoyed the Epson SF-810. You can tell the difference when you first turn the product one and go to the GPS setting. The little waiting time I got for the GPS to load was noticeable surprise. No more standing around in the cold waiting for the GPS to find its satellites.

Features such as vibrating mile splits and split/lap settings while using the GPS, are features I have yet to see on other GPS watches. Anyone who likes to do fartlek work or "timed" workouts, this is a must buy. Knowing what pace I am running in the middle of a "split" or a "fartlek" section is something I've never been able to do without having a pre measured section of a course. All this while never missing a split with the vibrating mile splits.

I would recommend this product for everyone, but would warn people to read the directions first before navigating through the startup screen or it will be tricky. Once I read the directions and started up, it was a very easy process moving forward. There are so many more features I have yet to explore and I can't wait to see what they offer.

              Great Watch

What an Incredible piece of kit! I had been using a Garmin Forerunner 15 until this point which was good. However the Epson SF-810 does so much more. I have to be honest and say that i don't look at, or use all of the data it provides, but it is there if that's your thing. The best thing for me is the heart rate monitor. Not having to wear annoying chest straps is great and i find myself using it all the time now. The watch does have to be on quite tight to avoid any disruption to the heart rate capture but the strap is designed well and you don't notice that you have it on tight. I use this watch for running and riding alike and it works well for both. It also allows you to use the heart rate monitor without recording so its useful for me when doing gym classes etc as well. As an avid Strava user, the syncing from the watch directly to my phone, for upload after a workout is so easy. The upload times are a little long for a long run or ride but that's not a big enough fault to complain about, and i am sure will improve in the future. The accuracy is amazing and as yet i have had no reason to doubt it. With a watch like this, there are a lot of features, and all of them very useful for different reasons. However with that comes the need to read the instructions and keep them close by for a while until you learn how to use everything correctly. It is not complicated, but you can forget how to perform certain things to begin with. If like me you have come from a very simple watch like the Garmin, it will seem a bit more to remember, however, with that comes much more functionality, and frankly this watch is in a different class. The addition of a split button is a massive plus also. One of my main complaints about GPS watches has been the lack of this most basic of functions, so great to see that Epson have included that. All in all, a great watch that will not leave you wanting for much else.
