Good, lighweight comfortable shoe for distance running

Comments about Womens Saucony Zealot ISO 2 Running Shoe:

I've been really pleased with this shoe. I'm on my third pair, having used them for several half marathons and a full marathon (alternating with the Triumph). They hold up fairly well--I get at least 300 miles on each pair (probably a fair amount more), and I'm pretty picky about retiring my shoes when the start to feel worn down. They have good cushion and support and are super light.

They definitely run a half size small. I initially ordered a 9.5, which is my usual size, but had to return them for a 10. Once I got in the right size, the fit was great.

Midfoot Runner buying a second pair of the ISO 2's

By Anna

Comments about Womens Saucony Zealot ISO 2 Running Shoe:

This is my second pair of these shoes, which means a lot coming from a person who can never find the "right shoe". The midsection warps around my foot nicely and secures it place. I absolutely love how the tongue is attached so it doesn't slide to one side and dissappears while you run.
Also, one of the major differences between the ISO and the ISO 2 is the material used for the sole: ProGrid vs Everun. The new material does make a huge difference in comfort and cushioning. With most shoes and as a midfoot runner, I feel like my forefoot is hitting the ground with no cushioning, but the ISO 2 does give me that extra cushioning for my forefoot.

Works for me!

Comments about Womens Saucony Zealot ISO 2 Running Shoe:

I loved the 1 version of this shoe and got a lot of miles out of them. They really worked for me, loved the cushion, the lower heel drop, the wider toe box....I really just loved everything about them. Was so hesitant to get the newer ones after reading the reviews as I really need a shoe with a wide toe box. I knew that I could wear them and return them if they didn't work for me. The store didn't have them in stock so I couldn't even try them on. Had the sales person order them and took my first run in them. No problems. The toe box maybe feels a tiny bit slimmer, but still worked for my foot. i'm glad I tried them even though there were lower reviews on them. They do feel a little firmer then the older ones but still feels great running.

Comments about Womens Saucony Zealot ISO 2 Running Shoe:

Ran my last marathon in the Zealot 1 and loved them. I agree with others that this version is narrower in the toebox, wider and sloppier in the heel, and has a straighter last than the Zealot 1. The upper is not very breathable either. The forefoot cushioning is nice--soft, but not mushy. After a few months running, they do seem to be loosening up a bit in the toebox, but they still do not fit my wide forefoot and narrow heel as well as the first Zealots. Disappointing.

Comments about Womens Saucony Zealot ISO 2 Running Shoe:

I ran yesterday with these and they are nothing compared to the Saucony Iso2. Hardly any cushioning ... I was super bummed . I know within the first 10 minutes that these were a regretful buy. Within the next 10 minutes my knees started aching . I do not reccommend.

Great landing and toe-off but a bit tight in the toes

      By Barb

Comments about Womens Saucony Zealot ISO 2 Running Shoe:

I am 52 and am running mid-40s a week, training for the Disney Dopey. I had the first Zealot and loved it. This one is a bit more cushioned in the forefoot (where I land), which I love. But it is tighter, which I don't like The toe area is smaller and the shoe overall is smaller. I had to go up a half size, and even then, my left foot began to fall asleep after a few miles. The shoe seems to be loosening up, so I assume it needs more break-in time than the first Zealot. I recommend everyone consider going up a half size when getting this shoe. If you love a snug fit, you will love this shoe. But if you like more toe room, this might work--you just need a larger size and need to loosen the laces all the way down.

Comments about Womens Saucony Zealot ISO 2 Running Shoe:

After trying numerous shoes I was very happy to find the Zealot Iso (after resolving some QC problems), but the changes made in the Zealot Iso 2 were hugely disappointing. Smaller toe box did not agree with my foot, the heal cup aggravated my Achilles, and the straightened last caused unnecessary torque on my knees and ankles. Why do all the shoe companies keep shrinking their shoes and straightening their lasts???

      Not what I expected

Comments about Womens Saucony Zealot ISO 2 Running Shoe:

I don't ever write reviews on anything, but this needs to be said because I was very disappointed in the new zealot. I was hoping for more breathability and less material than the original zealot, along with the same width and comfort of the originals. This wasn't the case. Much more material by the Achilles and tongue, and my feet started to sweat just sitting having them on....and then the width was noticeably more narrow. I hope to find the discontinued version for my next marathon!

I run 25 to 30 miles a week on asphalt and need a cushiony shoe. Also, I rotate shoes to different brands to eliminate pressure points and hot spots and to get more mileage out of my running shoes. Bought these because I tried them on in a store not realizing RRS has them listed at cat 3. I think that's wrong. They have more cushion and bounce than my also new Brooks Glycerin 14, which RRS has listed as cat 5. The zealot should also be cat 5, no question about it. Very comfortable. I love my Sauconys.
