These boots are SO comfortable and lighter weight than your typical hiking boot. I normally hike in trail running shoes, but needed a good sturdy boot for a R2R hike in Grand Canyon in 8 more weeks. After doing a 6-mile hike in wool socks and these boots, I got home & saw 2 blisters on both little toes and on my bunion. Not sure if I need these in a wider width (?) If you don't have wide feet, I'd highly recommend these boots, and wear wool socks. They will fit perfectly if you order the 1/2 size up.
