When the other reviews mention that these shoes are narrow, they mean *NARROW*. I'm a small runner (5'7", 130 lbs.), with what I thought were narrow feet, but nothing prepared me for the tightness of these shoes. I tried to give them a fair shake, but as I laced them up for my third run in them, the pain and discomfort was too much before I got out the door. If you're thinking about purchasing these, I recommend that you go a full size up, not the RRS recommendation of 1/2 size up. Your feet will thank you later. If they fit well, I think that they could have been decent shoes. The running I did do in them felt okay, once I got over the fact that they were tight to the point of pain. As for me, these shoes are getting returned, and I'm going back to my Asics GT-2140s.

I've run in this shoe for years. It's solid and supportive, frames my feet (narrow heel) nicely. I'm 6'4". 190 pounds.

I've been running in this shoe virtually injury free for 8 years or so - it is chunky (I weigh 138), but I do tempo runs in it fine. narrow through middle of the foot.

At almost 12 ounces this shoe is like a tank for anybody under 150 pounds. With the weight also comes very limited flexibility. For a heavier training shoe it has nice cushioning and a round step-through.

This is not a good shoe. It is light weight, but no cushion. After three or four runs it felt like I had 500 miles on these shoes. My arches started to hurt and that hasn't happened in years.

The ASC is the perfect shoe for me, it feels great right out of the box with just the right blend of cushioning and stability. A snug fit at the mid-foot and a roomy toe box are real pluses. It will be fine with me if RRS and Adidas leave the Classic as it is and stock it forever.

The best fitting shoe I've run in over the last few years. Snug fit in the heel, wide toe box; excellent heel to toe transistion. Reminds me of the outstanding adidas shoes I ran in the 70's. Can't comment on how long they'll last, but the SNC is a keeper.

I've been using these SNC for at least 13+ years...thru H.S. & college cross country and after. I will not use any other running shoe. They're simply the best for long-distance. 5'10'' 160 lbs.

This shoe EXCELS! I run exclusively in ASICS 2110 over 2140. But have a 2 pair of these that I rotate (3 shoes rotation) These shoes have excellent midsole which improves the heel toe transitions. Not a pretty shoe like 2110 but excellent mechanics. These also last a long time (350-400 is considered very good)

I've been with Asics for years, but decided to try the ASC's. Great shoe, I haven't had any issues with them the first month of use.

Definitely a snug fit made for narrow feet if that's what you're looking for. No blisters, allows for natural foot strike. Just wish they could last longer, 400+ and they're gone.

I have run 7 marathons and a heck of a lot of training miles in my SNC's. I have tried several other shoes and I keep coming back. They may not be the sexiest shoe, but they are basically flawless. I have had probably over 10 pair and am about to order another two pairs.

Great shoes for the price. I wear them with orthodics and they fit fine. I'm 5'8", 168lbs and the shoes feel very good. Supportive and cusioned. I did not give it 5 stars because there is no such thing as a perfect set of running shoes. I highly recommend these shoes.

BUY THIS SHOE IF YOU CAN GET IT ON SALE!!!!! I have 3 pair now. They don't last forever but they are worth it. I also add RRS Performance Cush Insole. Feels great and lasts longer. I have comments on NEW SuperNova Control. # 10 I think See you on the roads

I run in Supernova Classic for 5 years, 160#, about 20-30 miles a week, mixed road and trail. I had many pairs during this period, only once I had a defect and it was replaced with a new pair. It is a great shoe. Very stable, solid holding above the ankle, good cushioning. The shoe is wide, if you look from an upper view. Someone wrote here about a narrow foot, my foot is actually pretty wide and it fits very well.

Sat, April 07,2007:
I've been running in this shoe for 7 years (I've lost count as to how many pairs). I have narrow feet and a high arch - I do use custom orthotics but the shoe's neutral foundation and cushioning make them a perfect match. They DO tend to become fatiguing on longer (8+ mile) runs, but are otherwise very efficient. Supernova Classics are a great example of how over-development (I'm talking to you, Nike) has made a lot of newer models just underwhelming.

im a high school runner, and there are many chocies of shoes for us to pick from. by why look any further once you've seen the Supernova Classics. the name implies just how good they are, an instant classic. smooth, cushioned ride, yet a very responsive shoe the the runner of any level. i know that this is the number one shoe on my list, and would recommend it to anyone.

I have been using these for a couple of months and I give them 2 thumbs up. I am a big guy (220lbs) with flat feet. I have never been able to wear control shoes. These are different, no protruding arch support. I am very pleased. I will buy another pair.

Great shoe, my 5th pair in 18 months. As good as any of the new hi-tech shoes. I use an orthodic with this shoe with no problems. Room in the toe and snug on the heel. Good for 350 miles with my 185# frame but don't push too far as they loose cusion rapidly after that.

Update after first couple of weeks. These shoes are performaning great for me after I added a RRS cush insole. Insole would not be needed by average to small guy as I amm 225.

This is a homerun for small to medium weight runners. I would think the ladies love this shoe. I'm a big guy,225,and it bottoms out on me pretty quick. But adidas doesn't claim it is a big guys shoe. I kept these because I love the fit.I could walk in them all day. Great for narrow feet. It out performs the adistar Control at $120.00!!!!!!

Solid performing shoe. Once they're broken in, they're light and responsive with good cushioning and very stable.
