This shoe simply is wonderful! I ran almost 20 straight marathons in the Asics DS Trainer, but for some reason I ran one in this shoe. I went on to run my next two marathons in the same pair. I've now ordered two more pairs in fear that Adidas will stop making this (or change it). The Rotterdam IV fits very nicely, as I found the previous version too snug in the midfoot causing me to do some rather odd lacing patterns to be able to wear. Living in a hot climate (Singapore), I find the climacool system particulary useful. Great shoe! Very durable, light, cool, and a fantastic ride.

My current marathon shoe, and I like it a lot, almost as much as I did Mizuno Wave Phantom. The heel is pretty snug, so if you have a wider foot, don't lace it up too tightly.

Very nice shoe. Roomier toe box then many Adidas but still has that nice snug heel. Well cushioned but I tend to wear out the outside of my shoes and this is where this shoe has the least outsole material. Shoe goo?

Excellent shoe even for a big runner like me. It is probably the best shoe I have ever had in 25 years of running. It is surprising the excellent forefoot and heel cushioning as well as the feel of the shoe in spite of being so light at the point I am using it as an everyday trainer.

I used this primarily as a trainer. Cushioning is ok, but not when I'm having knee trouble. Bottoms have plastic feel, makes it sound/feel like my feet are slapping. Would be a good marathon shoe.

I love these shoes. I rotate these with a pair of NB 833s on daily runs and will wear them during my next marathon (Nashville). So far the durability has been fine. I will buy a new pair when my NBs wear out. Just remember that these shoes have vents on the bottom so you WILL GET wet running on wet ground.

Good stability for a light weight shoe. I use these as a racing flat for half-marathons. Highly recommended, comfortable.

My comment is based on the comparison with Asics DSTrainer as I have worn is my 'regular' training shoe in the last 2 seasons.
It is light (250g 1/2 pair) which is more than 40g lighter than Asics DSTrainer. About its last (foot form), I found it is narrower at the heel and slightly wider at forefoot, but
still narrower enough (which I like). If you have wider feet, I do not
recommend this shoe. Its cushoning is a bit firmer than DST but the fore foot is more thicher and stable (also I like this tuning).
Thanks to Clima Coll system, even I sweat a lot, it does not become heavier and has no 'squishy' sound (As I live in Singapore for the time being, it is critical). In terms of stability, it is good enough for preventing overpronation. Only disadvantage is its overlay at inside toes. When I kick the ground (and my toe bends), the overlay touches my big toe, and it might cause a blister (I have not tried this pair in my long run). Actually the overlay at this
part is not necessary
