Honestly the worst shoes I have ever run in. The arch support is too low and the adidas 3 stripes caused large blisters on my arches after only 3 miles.... had to walk (uncomfortably home). Absolutely terrible.

I really like these. Excellent fit and good cushioning. My only complaint is that they are wearing so fast! I only have about 200 miles on them and the soles look like I will be lucky to put another 100 on them. I usually have no problem getting 500 miles out of a pair of shoes. I like them, but they are xepensive for how fast I am going through them.

Like a volleyball court shoe--looks like one and acts like one. No cushion for runs. Surprising, as previous versions have been great

Forget the review i posted earlier.I had ran in these for about two days when i posted that review.I have ran in these for about two weeks now nd tried to keep telling myself that the shoe would eventually become more flexible and that the cushioning would become more durable, but i was wrong. These shoes are not flexible at all and the forefoot slaps the ground while you run.I will definately go to the Adistar control 4,they have been my only pair of stability+ shoes so far and i love them.i would highly recommend them so any runner seeking a comfortable shoe with a luxurious fit.

I'm a big guy (6'4, 220, size 15) & wear orthotics. Friends, I've tried them all (Nimbus, NB1061, Wave Creation, Vomero, etc...), and this one seems the best to me. All of the other ones seem too hard (except for Vomero; too soft). This one is cushioned, but not mushy. And I've GOT to have the cushion, because where I live is nothin' but concrete and asphalt babe. Would have to concur with runneralbertson and say that after 200 mi, they got a little firm. Will never go back to Nimbus or Wave Creation. Will buy this shoe again, but sadly not from here because RRS DOESN'T CARRY 15s!!!! :( Such is the life of a mutant.

Been in the AdiSTAR Cushion for quite some time. Still light, but seems like they forgot the cushion.... especially in the tongue of the shoe. After a hilly 10K, ouch.

I've never been able to run Adidas as the fit and cushioning have always been sub-par I've felt. As a consequence of a training error with too much mileage in prep for an ultra, I found myself with major knee pain and shin splints such that my sports med practitioner fit me orthotics so that I could still run while slowly building up my mileage base during recovery. Equipped with these hideous devices I took a trip out to my local running store and tried on the Nimbus, Cumulus, Triumph, Rider, and Creation. No go to all these. The salesperson suggested I try out the new Response, SuperNova, and Adistar models. Reluctantly I decided to give it a try. The Response and SuperNovas were the worst of the lot I tried due to the poor fit that just didn't match up with my foot properly. However, I was very surprised when I tried on the Adistar cushion with the orthotic. Man, it fit nice and comfy although slightly wide in the toebox. Great shoe and rehab is going well with these.

Best running shoes I have ever owned and I've been running for 15 years. I am light (135lb) with high arches and these shoes fit perfectly. They are soft but not too soft. The shoes are good for neutral or slight over-pronators who need/want a high end shoe.

How is the depth of the heel counter? I like to use replacement insoles in my shoes and the last couple pair of adidas (Boston classic and the prior adiStar cusshion) that was not really possible because of how shallow the heel counter was.

Took a chance and purchased a pair in December 06 and they are the best running shoes I have ever worn. They are very light with a lot of impact cushion. My fit are a bit wide and they fit very nice. I will likely never go back to NB or Nike.

Returned a pair of Gel Nimbus VIII's due to not enough forefoot cushioning and got these as a replacement. What a difference! I am 6' and 205 lbs. and these shoes provide plenty of bounce for me. A little snug in the midfoot, but great room in the toebox. I am very happy with these shoes!

One of the best Adidas running shoes i've ever tried. These shoes were really nice for about 200 mi. Then felt a little firm after that. Nice and lightweight though. Outsole had good durability. The arch was a little high for me.

I have 5 pair of the previous model and I LOVE them! I get them where ever I can now after trying to run in 4. It is not the same shoe. 4 felt sloppy on my feet and bottomed out at heel strike. I am a big guy, 6'1" 230lbs, ex football player, heavy weightlifter and the old adistar cushion was perfect for 3-4 runs. I can't wear Brooks or Asics fit
so I'm just going to have to keep getting the old adi cushion every time I find a pair! size11 by the way

I have high arches and a quick turnover. I was surprised how well this shoe fits and feels, being a kind of heavy trainer. Very soft and light feeling despite its heft. A great long tempo day trainer.

Great, lightweight shoe for moderate to long training runs. NOT for someone who needs stability. I chose this shoe for an upcoming marathon in December for its weight, cushion and comfort.

This has been a good all around shoe. I was turned to trying Adidas from my brother-in-law who runs alot. Risk free at RR Sports, so I gave them a try. Well, no need to send 'em back because I was quite impressed. They fit a little snug, but it does not appear to be a problem. They are pretty light and good for speedwork too. I can run 5-6 miles in them and feel really good afterwards. I can't say that about many shoes. Most shoes can get me through 3-4 miles, but the next couple miles seems to seperate a bad shoe from a good one. When I find I am riding my bike alot, I know my shoes suck. With the Adidas AdisSTAR I keep running until my bike is jealous. Then I ride.

Great improvements were made to last years model. This shoe has great forefoot cushioning. I have about 100 miles on mine so far (12-15 miles/week)and they feel terrific. They especially shine on long concrete runs where cushioning is a must. My previous Asics Gel Landereth II's don't hold a candle to the cushioning of this shoe. I am faster, longer, and happier in this shoe. BTW, 6'1" and 175lbs, neutral, high arch.
