Wed, May 07,2008:
This shoe is so so. I agree with others that it's much better than the Supernova 7, as the adistar has better construction, is lighter, and fits nicer through the forefoot and midfoot with a superior sockliner. It fits and rides better than the Cumulus and softer than the Nimbus. Better than the ...

Hmmm... ya'll must be Adidas / Mizuno only runners. It doesn't have the snug heel characteristic of those manufacturers, but it's far from sloppy. I find the construction to be top quality and of superior materials than the Supernova. It is a boat of a shoe, but I got it for pounding out long miles ...

Thu, May 01,2008:
I don't know what people are talking about. This shoe fits huge, not small. Cushioning is pillowy soft and not responsive, with a ride height like the Eiffel Tower. The blue trim looks cheap and the shoe is poorly constructed when compared to the less expensive Supernova 7's. The adistar shoe is...

The jury is still out on this shoe. I have been running in Supernovas for two pairs' worth. They have been excellent in assisting my recovery from a beastly year long bout with plantar fascitis. I was nearly over it, then I bought these shoes last week. I have run in them twice (5-6 miles each time)...

Tue, April 08,2008:
Based on the cavernous forefoot and super wide heel pocket, this shoe appears to be designed for the heavier or larger runner. Despite the shoe being labelled a D or medium width, this shoe fit like a 4E and was sloppy and loose. The shoe was also far too soft with too much cushioning and ride hei...

First time adidas wearer. This shoe seems to fit 1/2 size too small. I wear 8.5 in the Wave Rider and 8.5 in the Nimbus, but I need to wear 9.0 in the adiSTAR. Have others experienced a really tight fit with the adiSTAR requiring an upsize to a 1/2 larger size?

Tue, March 04,2008:
Just an update...still love the shoe overall, however, on my longer runs of 12+ miles, my foot gets a bit "crowded". I would suggest going with one full size up vice 1/2 as RRS recommends.

Fri, February 29,2008:
6' 175. High arches, bad knee, narrow feet. 20 miles per week. Running for 25 years. I considered the red, white and blue version of adidas' stability+ shoe the best shoe I have ever run in. So when an rrs rep reccomended I switch to a neutral shoe, I gave this one a try. I have been verry disappoin...

Perfect blend of cushion and stability. Good shoe! Works well on or offroad.

Me: 6'4, 195...25-30 miles per week, 2-3 marathons, 2-3 1/2's per year. I've finally found my shoe! Tried just about every neutral+ shoe on the market and this is the best feel and fit of them all. Ordering 2 more pairs today for the future! Great shoe!

i am a heel striker, who would get about 250 miles out of my triumphs 4 before seeing the outsole worn thru.i have 256 miles on my adistars and still have alot of life left.very comfortable, bought another pair for later on.keep up the good work.

Mon, December 17,2007:
I don't normally wear full cushioned shoes as I tend to run a bit faster or do my long runs on the trail. Anyway I've been wearing these for the last 2 months and think they're pretty good, very smooth and comfortable, and fit my wide foot well. The forefoot seems to be much more responsive than nik...

Wed, November 28,2007:
Used both the 5 and 6 versions. The split heel on the 6 version causes minor twisting of the lower leg upon heel impact. This twisting has caused the ligaments in my knees to become stretched and so sore that I have missed several days of running. I weight 165 pounds, so for someone lighter this ...

Real comfortable shoes right out of the box. I run about 40-50 mpw and these shoes have the cushion to keep up. They are really light and give a good road "feel" for tempo runs and speed workouts. I have run in the previous models and these definitely feel more cushiony w/ more flex to them as wel...

Fri, October 26,2007:
Another average shoe- but at an above average price. Heel cushion is good, forefoot so-so. Heels fit a little loose, toe box is narrow, laces are too short. Overall quite a disappointing fit compared to the megabounce. Seemless upper doesn't feel seemless. Returned and on to try another shoe.

Fri, October 19,2007:
These shoes are great shoes for someone looking for a cushioned trainer and racer. Very comfortable, but I have a wide foot and the shoes are a little too narrow through the forefoot for me. I recently ran the run leg of a HIM and the shoes really hurt in that area. Other than that they are great sh...

Pretty good running shoe. I have run in two versions of Asics Gel & New Balance running shoes in the past. I am only a casual runner, 15 miles per week. This shoe is firmer than the others, but still has plenty of cushion. The tongue is a little bulky on this one and the breathability is lower t...

6'4, 220, size 15, & wear orthotics. IMO, there was more cushion in the previous model. Maybe there is just as much, but it feels firmer to me. The adistar 6 is a step down from the 5, but it is still a good shoe. I will, however, be stocking up on the adistar 5 now wherever I can find them. (See pr...

I have only run in these shoes about 6x so far, and these shoes were cushiony right out of the box and very comfortable; there is no breaking in period. I had been running in the Brooks Glycerin and the Mizuno Wave Rider prior to purchasing the Adistar Cushion #6, and I would rate the Adistar as o...
