AFter getting tired of ordering several top rated shoes recomended by "Outside Magazine" online only to return them after they didn't fit well, I went to a local store and tried on every version on the many trail shoes they offered by adidas. Though there were several more expensive models, I found the Response trail 14 to have one of the most comfortable new shoe fits I ever felt. Trust me, there is no need to break this shoe in. I have yet to find a trail shoe that provides more comfort, cushion, and support. Not to mention the steal of a price. The only complaint I would have would be some of the color combinations, but being a serious runner, there comes a time when you learn to give up on looks and focus more on performance and comfort.

My first trail shoe, as I have used neutral/cushioned road shoes in the past. Very nice, durable, protective; absorbs shock well. Would consider a whole size larger rather than half for someone with a wide forefoot.

This is a great trail shoe. Adidas has kept the quality: these shoes last a reasonable amount of time, versus the comparable New Balance model which break down in weeks.

I run with this shoe on road surfaces, and it is great. Sometimes I don't even realize that I am running on the tarmac because of the cushoning. The shoe is so comfortable and I recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable shoe. I have not tried it for long distances, though. The longest I have ran in this shoe is eight miles.

Love this shoe. It is light, smooth and has decent grip on the trails. I love how it is a simple shoe that has everything I want and none of the usual stuff that ruins my shoes. I only run on pretty muddy aggresive trails so i'm not sure what it's like on other surfaces.
