First 100 km were perfect- great cushioning, good stability, but durability is quite bad- only about 500 km/300 miles. First good impression is turned into a dissapointment.

the Supernova Control was one of the few shoes I could wear which kept my persistent plantar fasciitis at bay; came back with a vengeance with this shoe; definitely don't recommend this shoe if you need strong stability control. heel pain started after 2-3 weeks of easy running with this shoe.

Great running shoe. Comfort, support, cushioning and exceptional breathability. I ran in them for the first time a few weeks ago, and immediately set a new fast time in training.

NOT a good update. NO stability compared to the supernova control 10. the new forefoot is WAY too bulky. the softer formotion in the heel is nice though. that and the incredibly breathable upper are the only good qualities, but not nearly good enough to make up for the faults. i have never once had a company update a shoe i liked and not have the update suck. can someone PLEASE stop messing w/ a good thing.

5'10, 175 lbs, pronator. Phenomenal ride right out of the box--nice cushion and stability for me. Far supeior to Supernova Control 9. Run about 100 miles, including overdistance 10 miler and a 5 mile race-- felt flowing and FAST!

I like the changes they made from the supernova control 10 w/ the exception of the decreased stability. The control 10's were amazing, but the sequence kinda sucks in that regard. The torsion system is practically nonexistant!!! They should've kept that portion of the shoe exactly the same as the supernova control 10. Other than that the sequence is pretty good. I like the softer formation in the heel, it seems to be a little wider in the midfoot and forefoot (which was my one problem w/ the previous version), and the upper is amazingly breathable. If they'd just bring back the old torsion system then they'd be amazing instead of feeling like an archless pair of new balance.

I've been a Supernova fan for over 15 years and this model is great. It's soft, light, breaths well and "just feels right". Just wore the shoes for a couple of days and did a 17 mile training run yesterday and I feel great today. Good shoe.

Had been wearing Asics 2130 which I found to be great for runs upto 20K. They started hurting around the balls of the feet after that. Moved to Control 10 which overcame that problem and now the Sequence are great. Real confortable & smooth ride.

I had these shoes recommended for me at a running store to help with my over-pronation and running style. I love the shoes and find them to be very comfortable while running although it did take 2-3 runs to break them in.

They break down faster than anything New Balance. Yuck. And they have a persistent squeak.

Totally inadequate heel cushioning. Not very flexible. Very strong heel cup. Nike Triax is far better IMHO.

I've had these shoes for around a month and have put around 100 miles on them. I have over-pronation and these shoes have been extremely comfortable everytime I go out. Don't have one negative thing to say about them.

I have had these shoes for about a month and have put 85 miles on them. They are very comfortable and light weight for a stability shoe. My first run in them I got blisters, but got new running socks and haven't had a problem since.

Quite possibly the most comfortable shoe I've ever run in. I run about 50 miles a week and the cushion in these shoes just keeps on feeling great. Went for a 12 miler last Sunday and my feet felt great the entire way.

I should have waited to review these. They feel comfortable up to four miles. Ran 11 miles in them yesterday, and developed heel pain during mile 5. Right in the middle of heel.

I have about 50 miles on them now and they have been fantastic. I'm 6'1" and 180lbs. Run 8-15 miles per week on concrete. I was in a neutral shoe for years and was getting some over pronation even with orthotics. Went to this shoe on a whim and was very please with the added stability. Not so much stability that it takes the cush out of the shoe, but just enough to keep a mild over pronator from doing just that. The shoes seems very durable and fit very well in the mid foot and toe box. I have a fairly narrow food, but wear a M width in most shoes. Size up 1/2 size for the perfect fit.

I am upgrading my 4 stars to 5 stars, love the shoe, the fit, the comfort, everything about it.

The last version of this series I tried was the control 9. That shoe was too narrow in the forefoot, too soft in the forefoot, too hard in the heel, and too high in the arch. The sequence, for me, is perfect in every aspect. I'm going to get the truck.

If you liked the previous model you'll love the new one. It fit's similar but overall better than the previous model. The inner shoe liner is really comfortable and gives the shoe a nice initial comfort. The shoe seems very smooth in transition and is also pretty stable without being clunky, and heavy. A perfect everyday running shoe.

Can anyone tell me if the forefoot width is the same as the SuperNova Control 10?

Tue, June 24,2008:
They seem really stable yet responsive at the same time. The insole is nice and the ride of the shoe is smooth. Not sure about the forefoot fit. The material isn't stitched but it seems a little stiff and uncomfortable. I'm worried it might give me blisters but so far no problems. I would have given it 5 if it wasn't for the stiff forefoot material.

Shoes have great cushioning and felt great right out of the box. A little snug in the toebox but not much and I expect them to stretch out some to alleviate that. Like the last review, I would give a 5star but am waiting to check on how they hold up past 300miles.

Just bought them, ran a half marathon out the box with them,. and they felt great. Great cushioning, good support; the only reason I am not going with 5 stars is I want to see how they feel after a 100 miles on them...more to follow.
